It's almost manetory now.

Morris alone is worth it to this team, he's a legit PF that fits.
Spencer Dinwiddie would be the icing on the cake, this guy can win you a playoff game when he gets into a rhythm.

Bryant and Smith need to go. Waste of roster space.

Pat is in his lounge watching reruns of Gilligan's Island sipping on scotch and with a stogie on his finger. He could care less what you want.....

You can’t make any calls past 3pm. But they could’ve been on the phone before 3. Doubt it tho. But never doubt Mickys resilience when it comes to saving some money.

This has nothing to do with Micky saving money. The front office has mismanaged the cap. We are a damn 2nd apron team. We need to shed salary in order to sign premium buyout players. Read the new CBA
Amazing how people keep this myth going that Mickey isnt spending money. The team been one of the top salary teams for a while now.

In all the Heat don't want the same players that many in here want.

Just doesn't make sense, NO WAY Smith and Bryant are kept here.

Even if you don't like Morris and Spencer Dinwiddie, CLEARLY we can replace those 2 dead weight for players that can help...

It's THE MINIMUM we should do, open 2 roster spots

I’m so sick and tired of this “we have enough” or “we like our team” narrative. We had enough to win a title Shaq’s first year where D Wade pulled a rib muscle and we lost to the Pistons. The next year, Pat still traded half the team and we brought in Posey, Walker, Payton, Williams, etc.

We have enough and we like our team really means a mismanagement of assets and a lack of will to spend properly.

Question: But what about Lowry’s contract? They spent on that…
Answer: Many of us on this forum knew Lowry was just too damn old. It was a horrible contract from the beginning.

Outside perspective: you guys should be grateful. Your team has 3 championships.
Answer: I don’t care. Those ticket prices go up after a championship and they never come down. I can’t afford the season tickets I used to have and the team is not making earnest efforts to improve to display the best product. Bring the ticket prices down and I will bring my expectations down.

Is this accurate? Barry said we could sign guys w/ salary below 12.4 million

I think its a very limited amount of guys that fit.

Maybe through some crazy provision like Herro’s unlikely incentives once a certain game marker hits we would be under the 2nd apron. I’m reaching here

They didnt have the 2nd round draft capital to dump them. I believe both Dinwiddie and Morris are above the threshold that they can sign.

We had 2 2nd round picks to dump salary by the way. We dumped dedmons 4.7M last year and even more than that with Dipo over the summer using a 2nd.

It is funny though, the one year I was actually hoping we would do a salary dump, literally the only time over ever hoped for it, we didn’t do it

Honestly at this point after seeing our inaction, im totally ok with Butler coasting for the rest of the season. If the front office won't go out all out for him, why should he?

We have a SRP to trade.

If we dumped Dru Smith and Bryant we could have signed both Morris and Spencer Dinwiddie (if they wanted to join us)

It just...makes no sense.

We kept those dead weights....why?!
