So I've previously read Olynyk couldn't be signed as a buyout, yet his salary (either this year or the duration of his contract (average annual value) is a sliver under $12.4 million. Is he available or not to 2nd apron teams if Toronto buys him out?

He can be signed by 2nd apron teams. But Raps are keeping him so moot point.

Jared Weissdd, the Athletic

"In the end, the Celtics spent three second-round picks to fill their biggest needs, bringing in players (Xavier Tillman and Springer) who still have some upside that they can keep long-term, as signing free agents will become incredibly difficult for Boston when the full second apron rules kick in this summer. I saw nothing out of Banton vs some potential out of Springer while watching the Sixers. I'm not sure what the story is on Tillman's offense this year, but he was a pretty good player his first three years vs Stevens who got little run here.

He doesn’t turn 22 until September.

Like I said earlier I like Springer. Springer and Queta make the all-star team next year

A little too much?

A little...they'll probably both be competing for the same wild card spot, so only one will make it. The other will have to settle for IR.

Could do worse with Pritchard/Joseph as offense/defense reserve guards.

Joseph has been around the block. Kinda meh, but you're right he brings a little something to the table.

I'd rather look for a bigger wing shooter to be waived, but not sure who fits the 12.4 salary limit.

It's going to be painful in the playoffs watching Spo, Doc, Nurse, and Thibs target PP every offensive possession they have with him on the floor.

Adam Himmelsbach @AdamHimmelsbach

Per source, Jaden Springer was strongly endorsed by Cs assistants with 76ers ties. Sam Cassell and player dev. coach Tyler Lashbrook both coached him in Philly.

wild that Killian Hayes is on this list. What was he .. #4 pick, 5 years ago? Edit to add: #7, four years ago -- five spots ahead of Haliburton

in Killian's defense, that draft mostly sucked: https://www.nba.com/news/2020-nba-draft-results-picks-1-60
wow did MIN (Edwards) and CHA (Ball) and SAC (Halliburton) and ... PHI (Maxey) and (ugh) BOS/MEM (Bane) hit. Everyone else is a total wash except for obviously Pritchard (26) and Tillman (35) and Madar (47) and Scrubb (55)
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

He also got him to train Jaylen for the dunk contest.

Good to hear. Jaden has a good build. Looks a bit Smart-ish, if I may dare say so.

If he can make a name for himself as a defender, get to the rack on the break, and bring his 3pt up to 34% or so, he may be a keeper.

He's "Sam's pick". I'm fine with a Cassell referral.

Don't worry about Svi, just focus on the major win you've had today.

Walsh is still a Celtic. :D
