Going to wait for the pods tonight to assess the impact on other teams. Way too many little moves to sort things out at the moment.

Initial take is the Knicks got better. But there was a report today that OG's elbow has bone spurs. Does he play through the pain? Could be big.

Does Thibs walk the Skiles mile & call him a ----- if he plays the injury card?

The knicks seem like the only team that made real moves to get better. Heat, Cavs, Lakers, Nuggets, and Clips all stood pat. Celts made some very minor moves, Bucks with a minor move, Suns got a likely starter with O'Neale but not a needle mover, Philly with a reshuffling but their whole season banks on Embiid, who may not have a playable knee by april.

They were relevant without the trades today. Now they're a contender, especially once Randle gets back.

Knicks did some good business. Picked up OG, Bojan, and Burks without giving up a first.

Yeah I thought the Knicks did well. Dallas too although they did have to trade a 1st along with Williams to try and get what they thought they were getting in Williams when they signed him. Suns did well considering what they had to trade.

Pistons and Raptors did things

Nick Nurse just said "trade away all of our backup point guards so I can play Maxey 48 minutes every game."

Man, as much as I wanted Nurse....one benefit is not having a coach who is going to just run our stars into the ground.

I've pretty much loved every move the Knicks have made the last 2-years but at the same time, I'm still pumping the breaks on letting them into the inner circle of top-tier contenders. Randle is the most notorious playoff bed-wetter not named Embiid, so even if/when he comes back, I'm not sure how much of a force multiplier he'll be. Brunson can absolutely ball out but their postseason and half-court offense is always gonna be a massive question mark so long as he continues to be their best player (they had a sub-110 offensive rating during their playoff run last year).

I am not there yet.

Is Bojan really that much better at this point in their careers than Fournier?
Is OG that much better than Quickley/Barrett, especially with his recent injury?

I am not saying they downgraded at all, just don't think it's as much of an upgrade as some make it out to be. Randle and Bojan can both play lazy defense at times, those two together might be unplayable.

He's not their best player. That's OG/Jalen. Now Donte has a voice in the room too.

I liked Hayes some coming out (not at the RiotPunch/KOC level), but this guy always looked like a bust-in-waiting to me.
