I'm of the opinion unless SAC get an itchy trigger finger that Kuz is here to stay. No way Poole is leaving after his 0 point and 6 foul masterclass last night in 25 minutes.

Agreed. Here is hoping Kuz is somehow miraculously traded by the buzzer..

It's the 11 hour... :(

I wanted to see more dynamite to this roster to fool proof it...

The one position we have no depth, center, is the only trade we make. But you know whatever, you don't make trades for the sake of making one.

Hope the remainder of the season is now about development.

Stunned Delon was not traded. Why not for a measly 2nd rounder? Would have opened up PT for Butler.

You would have to assume no takers. Delon has been pretty bad on offense this season and aside from steal, I think he's extremely overrated on defense.

We could have been a team saving a tax-paying team some money. Philly was looking to save cash. Covington+future 2nd for Wright would have saved them money and not needed to do the other trades they made.

The more I think about it, the more I am concerned a reason Kuzma was not traded was Turd and his marketing objectives...

We went from trading Tyus Jones for 4 second round picks to just keeping him? Interesting.

Also don't get us keeping Shamet and Wright. Shamet I thought had some magical salary dump contract that surely could have brought us something. And teams know Wright can play, especially in the playoffs.

Setting up to be a really boring rest of the year. Patrick Bubbles Jr is the backup center now I think so at least we get to see him play. Maybe they get another guy from the G league. EIther way, it's going to be some ugly nights for us at C.

How much they going to pay Tyus now? I hate to say it, but not trading a guy and re-signing him as the highest bidder in free agency is shades of Grundle. It kinda worked out last year with Kuzma and the descending contract, but we'll see what happens with Tyus. Hopefully they just let him walk if the bidding gets out of control.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Delon Wright should be cut immediately and all of his minutes given to Butler. I'd also contemplate DNP Poole for a few games to see if he can sort out whatever mental troubles he is going through, followed by and off-the-bench role when he comes back...

So we trade a young guy with 3 years left on his deal at a position where we have no depth or prospects…
But we don't trade any of the expiring vets that are blocking young guys. Inept.

Agreed, not a good look on our FO...

The apparent reluctance to trade Kuzma annoys the hell out of me. Let's hope and pray he is free from injury until the summer so he can be finally traded for a good return then...

Said the exact same thing a few posts back. Not loving this trade deadline for us at all.

Kind of stunned we didn't trade anyone besides Gaff. What's the plan here?

There is one excuse, and I would imagine it's Nobody wants Delon. Keeping Kuzma is playing with fire, not sure what they're thinking there, but if he can stay healthy, he's probably more valuable this summer or next deadline, but I don't like playing with "if's". Otoh, I don't want picks for this draft class anyway. The decision to keep Tyus is perplexing, I imagine they stood firm on asking price and feel we can resign him, but if we can't, then that was a fail too.

The return for Gafford is a bit disappointing to say the least, but hopefully we can flip the pick for something down the line. Admittedly I have no clue what the rules are governing such flips, but as mentioned before, I want to tank hard for the '25 and '26 class, the '24 class is not gonna help us much if at all so this season was largely a waste, even for tanking. Hopefully we get lucky and land a good or better complimentary player.

They had Deni guarding Wemby to start the game the other night. Don't be surprised if they give Deni some minutes at C.

You know if that's what it takes to get him some consistent playing time on the court, I don't care, do it. I think it's a doing him a disservice as it negates his size advantage but I think there are some matchups it could work.

He did a decent of Wemby, too. There was of course a few plays where he just couldn't match his size, but he made him work and made him fight for position.

So we got BagleyIII and a couple seconds and a first along with the course of Holmes for gaff, gallo and MM. Pretty ok with all that

I imagine we help firm in prices for homes and Kuz that's why they didn't move. I can see us giving jones 20 a year he's worth it and would be tradable at that number. Kuz could be valuable in the summer when FA starts doesn't look like a hot FA year.

As for wright and shamet, the money in shanets deal kept him here I imagine and delon I guess we couldn't find someone willing to give up picks for him when someone might have had intell that he might seal a buy out.

I wanna sign Killian Hayes getting him for free. He's still 22, can't shoot but his assist to turn over numbers look decent and he's got size I think he's worth kicking the tires on.

Wizards knocked back an offer of 4 second round picks from Minnesota for Tyus Jones.

I think we would’ve been pushing for this years first round pick which currently sits at 27.

Teams clearly don’t value seconds at all.
