I didn't like Fred much but he wasn't the problem here. How bad we currently are now proves it

Him and Sengun carrying that Rockets team to a potential playoff berth is pretty impressive tbh.

While true they're in the same conference position as us. IE it's really tough to fall any further, take that for what you will.

Fred was one of the worst players and practically unplayable for 75% of the playoffs. Then he had the baby before game 5 (I think) and went off afterwards.

Overall, I'd say he was the 2nd best bench player during the playoffs after Ibaka who was consistent throughout. Will always love EVERYONE that was part of that team regardless.

Your memory is just bad.

You should go check his numbers for the Orlando series and the Philly series where he was getting embarrassed by James Ennis.

Then like I said, he woke up with a vengeance half way through the Bucks series after having a baby, which is where this reference came from. My memory is just fine, you should probably check yours lol.

Fred was an obvious positive in game one where we lost to Orlando.
Fred was an obvious positive again in game 4 even though some of it was garbage time.
Game 5 he had 10 assists in 21 mins.
I'll give you all of the Philly games and the first three games of Bucks series.
Fred was a positive contributor in every game from that point until the title.

That's 12/24 or 50%.

Ok I wont keep arguing here but didn't think he was that good in the Orlando series but maybe the Philly series really pissed me off because he was soooo bad there. So I can revise my comments to saying he was absolutely terrible for half of the playoffs lol.

Regardless, we don't win a ring without contributions of everyone. My comment was just that Fred was the 2nd best player off the bench during the playoff run. Ibaka was consistent throughout and didn't the have high/lows of Fred.

He'll get a mid standing O. Nobody will borderline shed tears like Lowry or DD's return. It'll be more of a respect thing than a "I love you with all my sports fan heart" event.

If I can put it on a scale of 1-100, Lowry and Derozan got 95 point ovations. It was as if they won an academy award.
FVV and Siakam are about to get 85 point ovations. Like they won a golden globe.

We love em all, but...some are like Godfather I and II, the others are like Godfather III.

yup, ain't even mad he left because of the money, that's just too much to give up just to stay in Toronto. But then again, the consensus is really the mass fans are just mad that Masai didn't trade FVV before the trade deadline.

We don't win the Finals without Fred?

I think it’s a sliding scale.

We 100% don’t win without Kawhi
99% without Lowry
95% siakam.

And then a sliding scale of Gasol, FVV, Ibaka based on context.

Gasol with his defense especially on Embiid.
Fred’s hot shooting after his kid was born and his defense on Steph
Ibaka and Lowry PNR chemistry.

Loved Fred in the playoff run, such a great story after kid being born.

By the time he left, I disliked him because he put his ego above everything else.

Would still give him a standing ovation because the Chip means the most.

So thank you Fred, don't miss you Fred.

Crazy that we could've also had OG in the mix still. Man what could've been for the 2-3 years after had Kawhi stayed. Lakers, Milwaukee, and Warriors won it in the 3 years after.

Fred's a winner plain and simple, his career is going to make one hell of a movie when it's all said and done.

hahah correct. This is a place that head a thank you thread for Delano Banton 5x longer than the one for Fred. Insanity defined.

That's the right way to frame it.
