Don't know how bad the relationship is with the Celtics but I will put my vote in for Gallo. Gallo 6'10" and can still shoot the 3 ball. Seems like the Celtics could do a lot worse for their 15th guy. Seems like this would be good karma. Gallo probably will end up in Clipperland.

Re: Buyout/Free Agent Thread, 2023-24
I think the Celtics (Stevens) didn't like how either Grant ot Smart acted or spoke and while they never mentioned it, this factor was a big part of them not being Celtics.
Grant Williams has to change how he acts. Now he has two teams that got tired of him.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

Yeah we should just give up, they got Alec Burks and Bojan.
Yup. Plus OG, hart, Divincenzo with legit bigs that rebounds and defend. and we have Tillman and Springer hahahhaha. We should definitely just give up.
The same bigs that got torched by KP three times already. Burks is not a playoff rotation guy and Bojan will get torched in the playoffs. They’re biggest addition will probably be getting Mitch back.

Knicks ending up the #2 or #3 seed is good for the Cs.

I think he wants minutes. He will probably be a sun

Best to be patient at this point. The fireworks are over but there will be value to be had.
I'm fine with signing Queta. Also fine with waiting to see if Delon Wright gets bought out. Also interested in a Gallo reunion if both parties are interested.

With fewer chances to make changes, going forward, internal development will be a bigger thing. A young player or two might be getting minutes sooner than usual. This is potentially good for guys like Walsh, Springer, new draftees, and two way players.

Why even bother signing someone for the 15th spot when the Knicks have DDV, Alec Burks and Bojan? Close this thread down.

I could see that. They seem to like guys who don't play defense over there.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Interesting. Sounds like Brad, Joe and company have a lot of confidence in Pritchard and Hauser.
Let's hope those 2 guys deliver. Both can shoot, both can (for the most part) hold their own on D, both are good ball movers, quick decision makers with the ball, high IQ players, good fundamentals, have both been with our team for a few years now developing their games and developing chemistry with our guys.
And we're not asking for much - just play 10-20 MPG in the playoffs as the 7th/8th man (although I think in the playoffs (depending on who we're facing) there will be times Tillman is the 7th or 8th man, bumping Hauser and/or Pritchard down a spot or 2, which means we're relying on them even less.
Bottom line, how far we go in the playoffs will likely have more to do with how our top 6 guys play.

And the playoff riser Julius Randle.

Grant went from "trade me for Durant, not a second round pick," to "dump my big butt with a first round pick attached." Dude seems like a big time classic case of buying too hard into his own legend.

Grant's a guy that likes to talk himself up. I think it's mostly good natured and tongue-in-cheek, but rubs many people the wrong way. Maybe partly due to his upbringing being so different from many of those around him.

I like Korkmaz as an addition assuming we're not in the running for Dinwiddie.
Nurse had him playing pg for a stretch and he was decent at it. He'd be a more versatile version of Hauser off the bench, but he may be slightly worse defensively.

Did you see that time when he rubbed noses with Jimmy Butler? Absolute Legend in his on mind.
