With Dinwiddie Waived, could we pick up Killian Hayes (also waived by DET)?

Hayes was really a late lotto pick but they reached for him due to his size and defensive ability. His best scoring ability is in mid range which really isn't going to please NBA coaches and works best with appropriate centre. Can you fix really bad shooting? NBA teams don't have a good track record here.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

he'd have to go the way of Cameron Payne. whose shot still looks ugly but it goes in suprisingly.

This is total nonsense that isn't even true. Darko was never playing vets over young guys to try and win games: Thad/Otto/Temple basically didn't play until Siakam got traded, and who exactly was Schroder taking minutes away from?

His role was far too big and he was Darko's crutch. The FO wants the ball in Scottie and IQ's hands at all times and have removed pretty much any competition for that role from the roster. It was telling that Bobby went out of his way to say "hopefully we see Scottie with the ball in his hands running the point again" - something that disappeared when IQ got here and Darko insisted on playing Dennis starter minutes regardless. Temple/Thad/OPJ don't take the ball out of their hands.
