In hindsight, Kind of surprised the Bucks didn't just wait to fire AG. Let him take West Road Trip losses and then fire him/do the trade deadline before a brief home stand with prunty. Then give Doc a fresh start after the all-star break. Come back with 2 tough games but then 2x hornets and bulls to break him in.

Getting any backup big with a pulse defensively would go a long way in easing my concerns. The dropoff from Giannis/Brook (who will be exploitable as well in certain matchups) to Bobby is just so brutal. Having someone, anyone who can step in and protect the paint for like 12-15 minutes a night would be so clutch.

Idk who’s available on the buyout market but that’s the spot I’m looking at next. Would be dope if they brought in Wenyen and he managed to not totally suck.

Don't think either move is necessary but I'd find both of them interesting at least

I erroneously stated that Giles is eligible for a 2 way. He was before the season, but I'm pretty sure he's ineligible now that he was on the Nets 15 man roster this year. Sorry about that!
Ah dang, oh well! Just Stanley Johnson then

Disagree I think you do it as soon as possible when the decision to separate was made, needed to give Doc as much time as possible to mop up the mess before the playoffs since he didn't get a training camp.

Maybe its immaterial, but did Embiid going down have any impact on who we traded for cash? The only real advantage for Rolo was being a big foul eater against Embiid (Debatable if it was a viable strategy). Now that he is gone, there is less of a need for a big lumbering human being. If Embiid is healthy, would there have been more discussions with Giannis about TA or more aggressively trading Marjon for cap space?

Are we expecting to fill the roster spot from the RoLo trade or will that jeopardize our ability to stay under the second tax apron?

Zero interest in Thad Young. Giles, Gabriel, or Stan Jo would be fine but uninspiring. Ugh.

Giannis would have been livid about the absence of changes.

definitely understand once a player "grows up" and then you have to serve two masters. its hard to win when you serve two masters. weve been down that road before.

jrue/ beverley
murray/ grayson/ beasley
khris/ ajx/ green/ marjon
giannis/ jae
brook/ biyombo

better offense. better defense. and a coach who would know how to put it together.

sucks really when you think about it :(

That team sucks. Look at Bevs minutes as a starter this year. Basically Jrue. I like Murray, but he's not close to Dame.

looking at that roster its a backup patrick beverly that jumps out for why the team sucks?

and sorry but at this stage dame reminds me of monta with a little better range. i literally loathe him half the time. jrue is a swiss army knife. i love him and i love what he brought. and i loved it every single night even when the shot wasnt there or he was getting beat.

and now boston loves him. his teammates especially.

but regardless even if dames better than i give him credit for....the idea somehow were better now with a chucking, sulking, loafing dame that occasionally gets hot... then jrue/allen/murray is outright insanity. and thats before we even get to the upside and the positive effect it would have on our salary structure

I just watched all of Pat Bev's unassisted buckets this year. He can do some things.

Then i looked up his shooting splits: 38% on wide open 3s. 56% on corner threes.

LOL

Horst really did it with this one. I'm very excited about this.

Dame has a 60TS%, Monta had a 49TS% both years as a Buck. If you think Dame looks like Monta, it's probably time for a new TV.

As for the roster, the Dame roster is better, and you're ignoring that you traded Bobby to get Murray. Having Allen adds nothing. Dairy Bird is the better player.

That "Grind" has won us one title. The lack of offense is the primary reason we only have one. It's also the reason we traded for Dame.

Basically, Jrue was amazing for the regular season. In the playoffs, I never trusted he could hit a big shot. From the Finals series on he was tough to watch in the playoffs and his shooting numbers reflect that. The last time Dame stepped on a playoff floor he put up 34 and 10 and 45% from 3. Is that guy still there? We will see, but that's why he was acquired - so teams cannot load up on GA all game long.

This current team definitely has warts, but if Midds is healthy come playoff time they will have as hard of a trio to stop as any in the league. That's what wins.

Agree with all this. Adding the caveat that if they play PatC 25+ mpg in the playoffs, they’re toast.

At least Pat can go back to his usual role. He never guarded the PoA on previous rosters. However, he might be getting DNP-CD in the playoffs, right next to Beasley.

Doc will try to hold Dairy Bird back, but he'll lose his grip.

Gallo would be a really nice buyout grab. Honestly, i’d trust him more than Bobby.

He’s a damn good shooter who can get his shot off under duress, which Bobby struggles with, but more than that he’s a cerebral player.
