Yeah. Brad probably didn't want to give up a 1st for someone who wasn't guaranteed to be over Hauser in the rotation.

So he probably was only willing to give some 2nds and washington said no.

or maybe a Kispert deal wasn't even discussed, cause brad had his sights set on a big (got Tillman) and after that had his sights set on a young upside flier w/ athleticism and POA defense (got Springer)..

He may have figured that he already has a wing shooter (Hauser) and the driving ability Kispert gives you wasn't enough to justify the cost of acquisition.
