Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
I think the Badgers this year are one of many good but beatable teams. I could see them making a Final 4 run, or losing in the first round.

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
The Nebraska game displayed how integral Crowl is to the offense. Purdue was able to single cover him with Edey, but Michigan aggressively sent help. For as much as Storr has opened up the Badgers as a team that can score off the drive and transition, they're still an inside-out squad and Crowl is the key for them operating as such.
Outside of Sparty, it's been a slog recently. Minnesota was close and the three losses were a struggle as well. Purdue played like a #2 team should, but Nebraska and Michigan were winnable games that weren't. Throw in some untimely free throw misses and you have this current stretch.
Take out the turnovers and they're an absurdly efficient team, but I think it's safe to say they're just looser with the ball than the Gard teams we're accustomed to.
Really hope Winter can keep making strides. Next month is super important for him. They need him to spell Crowl for both rest and foul trouble.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Think Storr got a little too full of himself too and its hurt the team lately, ultimately showing yea the NBA rumblings are overdone. Hopefully they can pull him back and get Crowl going again. Couldn't really watch last night but in theory it was good that Chucky was alive on O. Generally its bad for the team if he's 'needed' to do it but it was good to see he had it in him.
Bad loss, no doubt. But if you really think about this is the only bad loss in the stretch. They hung right with Pur who's a top 5 team. The way Neb happened was bad, but in general they're a good team in a road environment. Next game at the RAC won't be easy, but if you want to be considered actually good not just a run in the mill tourney team you have to win it and get back going before Ill

Nebraska was a bad loss. To assert otherwise is wild.*

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Nebraska was a bad loss, but also a bit flukey with their incredible shot making and Purdue is #2, I can live with losing either of those in the grand scheme of things. No real defense for the Michigan game tho.

I said the way it happened was bad for sure. But it was pick em point spread to a solid tourney team in a tough road environment. If going in you said hey they lost by 2 pts in OT you'd be like "ok fine, happens on the road" that's what I mean. Its just the way it happened that was bad and frustrating af.
The 'resume' of it a month from now it will not be listed as a bad loss, unless Neb implodes rest of year

Okay, I'll buy that it wasn't "bad" divorced of anything that happened in the game, which is what I think you're getting at.

Recruit players who can actually hit a 3 in a game, or find a new coach who can.

Say Old Chap, you surely wouldn't be suggesting they replace the coach?

The mean has been regressed for our offense.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Warm take. Connor Essegian is the Badgers second best player.
Khris Middleton - Beating up on Trash Can Teams since 1943. Invisible Man status otherwise.

We'll be the 12-seed at this rate.

Chucky had a better on ball defensive game today.
However he isn’t a great distributor and has lost his offensive confidence. Crowl is lost too, Gilmore shouldn’t even be on a big ten roster.
They need to start Essegian. I wish klesmit could be a viable point guard.

What is appealing about Essegian? I do think he may eventually hit some 3s but otherwise what does he bring? He’s not even doin that this season.

Curious what the largest fall out of the AP Top 25 is. We feel primed to fall out from 11 this week.
