Thrilled. He looks like a lottery talent already. If him and Vince Williams actually pan out Memphis is going to be set up rather well.

Always good to see draft picks performing well.

Good for him.

Memphis finding him and Vince Williams is really nice for them moving forward + having a lottery pick this year. Even if it is a bad year there are going to be good rotation players in the lotto.

There are some good draft evaluators over at Memphis team for sure.

To be honest I would have bet on myself if I were GG. Yeah guaranteed money and all, but he literally has looked like a lottery talent as you said. Memphis has got the biggest steal contract in the NBA.

He's currently the youngest player in the NBA he has a lot of time to make money. The risk would out weigh the earning potential for the average US citizen.

How much?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Definitely were their misses on those three. Roddy no longer with the team. I expect both Ziaire and LaRavia to be moved sometime during the offseason.

Good doesn’t mean perfect. Memphis has been able to consistently find NBA players at every level of the draft.

4 years total 8,5 million with last year team option (6,1 mill guaranteed)... What a steal even if he doesn't pan out :D

Good is not perfect . They hit enough on their second rounders recently. More than my own team at least.

Pumped for GG! He's really done a great job of staying humble and putting in the work this year after all that SC drama.

Signing him and Vince to cheap deals as our core enters their prime (and gets expensive) was a huge win for us this season. After the deadline we have a little financial flexibility to pair with our lottery pick this offseason, and really we only have one big hole to address (starting PF/C next to JJJ).

GG is legit! Happy for him, his family, and of course for the Grizz.
