Yeah, teams now will target you even if you're an okayish shooter, look at Giddey who's shooting 33%, which is below average but still a hell of a lot better than the Thompsons (both around 15%). It's a shame, because they're both so otherwise talented, that the one flaw they have is that which the modern game doesn't allow. I think a good coach could make them work provided they're the only non shooters on the court, but unless there are radical developments in that area it does seem difficult to foresee a future with all of Duren, Ausar and Cade together in Detroit.

I still have hope for Cade becoming more of an outside shooter. He’s not terrible and can be good in stretches.

Ausar? I’m kind of spooked tbh. He’s starting at such a low point as a shooter.

That’s what I’ve been saying and catching heat for voicing it.

My concern is because it seems more like a mental thing than anything.

He shot decent in summer league and last year from NBA distance in the OTE program.

I just worry that if it’s a mental thing, he’ll be streaky and prone to slumps.
