I think the point they're trying to make is that we're barely past the halfway point of the season...and a number of top players are already eliminated from consideration.
It's a pretty jarring realization since we haven't hit the All Star break yet...
I tried opening the list and even downloading the stupid app it's tied to but couldn't see it. Would love to see it compared to a list of guys in prior years where KL, KD, Ky, etc all missed tons of earlier games at this point and were informally removed from all NBA contention. Is there really that much difference to prior years?
Idk seems to me that it's not really a big deal or different from any other year except it is a formalized rule where maybe 1-2 play 62 games and maybe were so good they still deserved all NBA, but its really hard for me to think someone that missed almost 1/4 deserves all nba
