I like the Sasser/Ausar/Stewart off the bench taking every min
Ivey, Cade, Grimes, Fonteccio, Duren starting
Ivey, Grimes, Duren off first
Sasser, Cade, Ausar, Fonteccio, Stewart
Ivey, Sasser, Grimes, Ausar, Stewart
Then back to starters. Ausar as long as possible.
I wish, I know Monty won’t.

Grimes does not have the size to play the 3. Ivey is bigger than him. Grimes is close to Sasser in size.
Jaden Ivey have a 6'9" wingspan
Marcus Sasser have a 6'7" wingspan
Quentin Grimes have a 6'7.75" wingspan
Grimes is a 2.
Fournier is also a 2 but hopefully he won't get minutes (who am I kidding, he's probably starting )
Evan Fournier have a 6'7.5" wingspan
The only guys on the roster with size to play the 3 or the 4 are Cade/Fontecchio/Troy Brown Jr (and maybe Shake Milton who has a weird build)
Troy Brown Jr have a 6'10.75" wingspan
Simone Fontecchio have a 6'11" wingspan
Cade Cunningham have a 7'0.25" wingspan
Shake Milton have a 7'0.75" wingspan despite being 6'4.5" with shoes and 205lbs
I never liked this idea, but maybe Cade could add some more mass and be our 4? I like him more as a guard tho.

Monty has said many times that he doesn't really believe in positions on defense that your 2/3/4 all need to be able to switch and defend whoever.
If you look at last season with New York, Grimes played a bunch with Brunson + Quickley (456 minutes together which I don't think any trio on our team has played that much yet this year) and they were incredibly effective and we know Brunson and Quickley are smaller than our guards.
Also its been mentioned here previously, Cade doesn't really have the speed to stay in front of smaller guards so having Cade starting off (of course he'll get switched up) on SFs likely not going to be a problem in most instances. Many of the bigger/taller small forwards in the league has transitioned over to the PF spot anyways(KD, LeBron, etc)

Cade would be guarding the 3. Of course it depends on matchups, and we have Ausar to start if the defense requires it. Grimes is a good point of attack defender. His defense reminds me of KCP, not as good when he’s undersized.

IQ has a 6'8.25" wingspan, smaller than Ivey for example but he was a beast of a defender in NY, but yes, Cade would likely be the 3 in that lineup which I don't really like but is playable for sure.

Idk if anybody can confirm or not whether we tried to trade for Tobias before or after the Simone Fontechio trade. Drinking the trade deadline kool-aid but I think we can get 85% Tobias out of 50% of his contract atleast.

Re: New depth chart
There is zero indication at all that Wiseman will be out of the rotation, or that Stewart won't be starting.
Duren / Wiseman (or Musc at times if coach gets fed up with Wiseman)
Stew / Ausar
Font / Grimes
Ivey / Sasser
Cade / Fournier
That looks most likely to be the 10 man rotation when healthy IMO.
Wiseman is playing for his NBA life right now and he also shares and agent with Cade so you know he is a player that Jeff Schwartz wants to see in that backup center role and we also know that Weaver has seemingly done a lot to help Schwartz and his clients since drafting Cade.

Re: New depth chart
I'm starting to think that discussions of depth charts are pointless for this team. We're going to play 11-13 guys every night and the rotations are going to make no sense.
