Yeah, but the Bucks need to focus on preparing for the playoffs. With only 20-something games remaining in the regular season, 2-way players would just sit and watch the team preparing for the post-season.emunney wrote:Day 36 with 2 open 2-way spots.

What's not a logical construct is to say Player A is well past his prime and overpaid and then make proposals that assume other teams think he's really good. If you value your own opinion and think it's based on fact, then you should assume others carry the same "objective" view.
What's also not a logical construct is to have a team with only one really good starting shooter (KM) and make a big trade to get another one (DL) and right after that propose to get rid of KM. It totally voids the rationale for getting Dame. The Bucks needed shooters and still need shooters, so don't propose getting rid of one of your best.
You can value your own opinion and have the awareness to understand that it's outside the consensus. Or that, even if you believe, rightly or wrongly, that your opinion is within the consensus, that it is not unanimously held and therefore there could be an opportunity to take advantage of people holding wrong beliefs.
I enjoy waxing poetic on this, but let me make my opinion clearer. If KM plays winning basketball at or near all star level during the playoffs, he will have value in the trade market going forth. But then the naysayers won't want to trade him anymore.
If Kris doesn't return, gets reinjured or limps thru a mediocre playoffs, then there will be no varied opinion on his worth. He won't bring anything in return.
Posters making proposed trades based on another team making a huge mistake is quite a premise for a trade. It should at least be based on some comparable worth. Otherwise, how about trading Thanasis for Tatum?

Sure, but we'd have those players rights. They don't need to sit and watch, they'd play with the Herd. AJ Green makes less than the veterans minimum after being on a 2 way last year. Everything about having them is a positive, unless you dont have them.

If they sign geezer buyout guy, they'll have no impact, ever. A 2 way guy could be the next Dairy Bird or Max Struss.

Crazy how all of a sudden it feels like we have plenty of depth..
Dame/Bev
Beasley/Green
Middleton/Crowder/Pat
Giannis/Bobby
Brook
Now that we dont have to worry about Embiid, do we really need another big?

I think a bouncy 6’9 kind of guy would be useful in a pinch. Get me Gabriel.

Yeah, he's old, but wasn't a buyout guy this year for a reason. Still good.

Could be that we thought somebody we wanted would shake free by now and they just haven't, or they did and went elsewhere.
I wouldn't do it, and don't think they would either, but could they be waiting for Bouknight to clear waivers? He's 2 way eligible.

I'm still partial to Gallo. Vet, playoff experience, played for Doc so can pick up the system right away. Would chew up minutes and hit threes. Not sexy, not some young guy you hope can become a role player. Could play with both Bobby and Brook if needed. Just a solid buyout guy. Definite upgrade over Rolo.

Hard to imagine a more perfect scenario for Pat Bev than this.
A coach on the floor to change the tone from our charmin soft defense and establish the desperately needed new systems on behalf of the new coaching staff on the sidelines is a big thing to get for peanuts at the deadline.
PJ played a big role for us but our team wasn’t in quite as sorry a state when he first came to town. If Donte hadn’t gotten hurt in the playoffs he wouldn’t have had as big an opportunity for clock either.

So I’m fine adding Gabriel. Has playoff experience, might help vs Zinger a little.
But with Mids health it really feels like we could use a guy that can get buckets. Bring in Gallo and let him Mirza Teletovic it up picknpop with Dame and PB at tge top of the arc. Plus he is a guy when our halfcourt offense is struggling that can shoot from wherever. Plus Gallo at Center setting high screens it puts Bobby in the corner or the dunker spot which seems like it makes more sense. Yeah he is a statue on D but if he is giving up twos for threes I’m ok with it.

I'd guess Gallo goes back to Denver. Clear role there, their bench is seriously awful.

On the A Cresta Alta Podcast, Gallinari shared that he’s looking forward to the games on the schedule where he’ll be playing the Celtics in Boston.
“I’m loaded up, can’t wait to play against Boston. As soon as the schedule comes out, I’ll put an X on every time I play Boston in Boston.”

It would be prime entertainment to watch this lineup

I see your bets on who fouls out first
