Melo used the then NJ Nets as leverage. He was never serious about that.

I think the fat bitch is trying to say that he wasn't trying to leave Denver, wasn't demanding a trade to NY.

Sadly, the refs human errors aren’t enough of a reason to play the rest of the game. The Knicks would basically need to prove that the refs were fixing the game to get another shot. Not even sure why teams are allowed to protest a game if the standards are that high.

Nonsense. He was dead serious about going to the Nets. He didn't care as long as he got his supermax. That's all he wanted.

Not necessarily. The last time a protest was acknowledged was a December 07 heat game where Shaq was incorrectly called for six fouls and he had 5. The game’s last 50 seconds were then played a few months later.

You don’t necessarily need to prove refs are tossing it. But we already have the two minute report stating the call was wrong.

I think that has more to do with the fact it wasn’t a judgement call like a foul is but I guess we’ll see what the nba does here. Them immediately admitting mistake should be a good for us.

I don’t think so. It was still a judgment call, not a counting error.

Ironic we want the team to play more minutes.
probably would have gone to triple OT and Brunson lost for the season.
I'm cool with the L

It would mean a restart of the game, so basically starting in OT. I’m glad they did it but not likely to work. At all.

Can we also undo the trade?

I have an idea — Knicks could fire Thibs on the basis of him misusing Burks and perhaps intentionally misleading Leon and Co. about how he’d use him. That would be a firable offense. If he was not truthful with the FO about it, about Grimes. Etc.

Get rid of him for refusing to coach and play certain players when he’s not the GM. Send him packing.

Is the most likely playoff rotation imo

That’s more like it. Personally, I think Thibs loves AB so much that he gives him those 8 minutes at backup PG. You can almost see his brain explode when there isn’t a ball-dominant rim attack lead guard.

Also wouldn’t be surprised to see Randle’s minutes dip in the playoffs in favor of Hart based on nothing more than Hart’s history of being Nova clutch and Randle’s history of disappearing under pressure.

What? You guys now have AB not in the playoff rotation? Please. He’s playing and he’s shooting like half or more times he even touches it. Which is a lot because he gets to dance around with the ball at his pleasure.

Don’t kid yourselves folks. Thibs is gonna value scoring — Boj is gonna get time too, even if it means OG sitting.

You guys don’t see it but I promise you. Thibs doesn’t see OG as too good to sit when he’s got a diverse scorer he asked to get (Boj). He sees Burks the same way.

You guys are seeing Burks sitting in the playoffs altogether? It’s not happening.

The funny thing will be when the appeal gets approved for the first time in 16 years a game is replayed and they fly the Knicks out there to play 5 minutes of basketball and we still lose in OT. That’s would be the icing on the cake

Meh, obviously Thibs doesn’t trust Deuce to handle minutes behind Brunson so we can just trade him in the off-season for some value and replace him. Obviously, he can’t play with Brunson too. Too short. Not a real pg too. He would look so bad without a three point shot. Not too hard to replace. We have two draft picks.
