I really wish KAT would use his floater game more often instead of crashing into defenders and risking getting offensive fouls.

Had a feeling this was going to be choppy to start.

A first quarter with neither the focus or effort being all that great, but the Wolves still end with a 12 point lead.

Bank shots have been scientifically proven to be more likely to go in than straight on shots. They give you a greater margin of error to make the shot. John Wooden taught this at UCLA and his players were excellent bank shooters. Modern players have gone away from the bank shot and it is becoming a lost art. Ant is one of the few modern players good with bank shots.

Rick Barry used to shoot underhand free throws. He was about the best Free Throw shooter in the history of the game. I believe those are scientifically more likely to go in as well, but you look lame doing it so nobody does.

I've heard that too on bank shots. They were always tough for me. I couldn't get the hang of them.

Players are too embarrassed to do the Rick Barry "granny" FT's. :D

It just ain't cool man!

Scoot has had a bad season, but he has all the talent in the world. If he can get his head right he will be a star.

This might be a good game to rest Gobert. He doesn't seem to dialed in on either end.

You have to commit to them. I'm not saying all your shots are banks, but a lot of them need to be. If your torn between the two you won't shoot well.
As for the granny FTs Rick Barry was one bad ass dude and he didn't care how it looked. I looked up his FT % it was straight up 90%. He retired with the best career FT%, but since then Mark Price, Steve Nash and Stephen Curry have passed him. All between 90-91%.

Except Towns got 3 quick fouls - two very offensive ones.

I wonder if Scoot would be nearly as popular if his name was Tom?

I thought he was over-rated at the draft and so far it looks like he was but I could be wrong. He still has time. He better get it together though. I have my doubts.

We're getting way too careless early in the 2nd.

Luka Garza dominates the G-League, and this is pretty close to that level of competition.

Yep. He thought making them at a 90% clip was cool.

I'm not saying he will ever be good, but to me his talent is undeniable. If he doesn't make it it will all be in his head.
