No to all of those things. Tax apron is a thing.

While I disagree with most of your recent work, I agree with the level of frustration with the overall tenor of Thibs' style and the net impact it has in the long run.

I have no problem with people being less sure about this than me. My follow-up question to all is this:

Do you want this man making any more roster decisions?

The guy who soured on RJ, Grimes, maybe IQ, Deuce, in favor of the likes of Burks.

The guy who plays everybody 42 minutes if they’re good and before he sours on them.

The guy who had iHart on the bench after Mitch went down. The guy who obviously thinks klutzy ass Mitch is great.

The guy who LOVES Randle no matter what he will do?

You want him deciding about Precious, about iHart, about whether to resign Burks?

You’re comfortable with more Thibs roster moves?

That’s what it means to keep this guy. And what in the hell is the point of drafting anybody with him as coach? You are delusional if you think ANY rookie is getting a role.

On the whole I'm not a Thibs fan, but the team is a very good roster, and things aren't as bad as they seem in the depths of this ridiculous roster shortage. In a couple of weeks they'll be able to field a viable NBA team again, and we'll be enjoying things. You're never as bad as it feels in a losing streak, and never as good as it seems during a winning one.

But I agree that alot of these problems are either caused (directly or indirectly) or exacerbated by Thibs. He can get the most out of some and create a team vibe, but man does he have blinders on in other facets of his job. I'm a believer that he elevates a roster's floor, but demonstrably caps their ceiling.

This is all true. This is exactly how I feel. I just have to go through my overreaction caused by anger first thing though! I don't take it that serious and I'm not breaking **** as I type but, in my mind I threw someone through a plate glass window on the 18th floor!!

We are very close. I am disappointed with a few things but, overall we are very close to a contender. How we move forward and how many mistakes we make/avoid will determine how far we get. That's the scary part of the journey. It was just such a train wreck in slow motion the last 2-3 weeks. Ugh. Such a gut punch.

I hope we get the good mojo after the break and capitalize on every opportunity. We can still make some noise this year if things go well from here out. If not, it will suck and I will rant and rave for a bit but, we are set up well to maintain or improve on a top of the league level team moving forward. Not sure I trust Thibs at all anymore to be the guy to get us there but, that's out of my hands. The FO has to correct some recent mistakes too.

I think that one thing you can hang Thibs over is the excessive minutes that he plays starters in every game, playing every game as if it is Game 7 of a playoff series. DDV broke down as a result of playing too many consecutive minutes. He was playing at an otherworldly level - and suddenly he has an injury almost certainly resulting from overuse.

He's just a maniac - and I'm sure management knows it but is trying to get as much out of him as possible. I doubt that he is getting an extension. Nobody likes to lose, but losing a battle is much better than losing a war.

As for tonight, we shouldn't have expected to hang with Orlando given all of our injuries. Banchero was out of his mind in the first half, especially from three. Orlando is a tough team that is just going to get better.

Man leave Taj alone. He is not the problem and is doing the best he can. IDK what influenced his decision but this year he is very lean. He is getting bodied left and right out there and on the floor as often as the ball it seems.

For example, he tried to post up one of the Wagners, they bodied into him and he collapsed. Of course they later revealed that he had a back injury so perhaps that's playing a pretty big part of it too.

Knicks should dig up Willis Reed. He'd show more life than Taj.

Missed most of our recent run and I'm not too upset about it. Now this place seems to be heading back to the comfortable darkness.

Banchero 6-10 from three and 9-10 from two. 36 points on 0 free throws :o Wasn’t Precious guarding him?

This dude is legit. I really don’t care what anyone has to say. He can play and deserves a rotation spot even with everyone 100% healthy.

Thibs will play Burks 15+ so one of our serviceable players is getting shafted in the end

Thibs is an enabler of Burks. No accountability. He literally plays worse here.
1 game and Bogs is hurt.

Over Halfway through the year and he’s overplayed and hurt over half the starters.
We need an assistant minutes coach.

kudos for meeting him at the rim

real talk obviously precious isn't better than randle but i really hope we can keep him for our bench because he is the perfect backup in our ideal healthy rotation. i'd hoped we could keep deuce in the rotation, but if precious is making more of an impact, we'll probably roll with hartenstein/achiuwa/hart/burks as our backups (i'd still play deuce by default and burks situationally if i was in charge but we gotta be realistic about who our coach is it seems. was really disappointed to see thibs lean on that old habit instead of putting burks next to mcbride as his first experiment)

Precious is a decent interior defender but really lacks the quickness on the perimeter. It also seemed like he was playing off of Banchero all night leading to a lot of wide open threes. Not sure if that was a coaching decision or if Precious was just being lazy.

Thibs sucks.

Thibs turned Precious into Randle-lite

When the team is healthy it should be fun seeing him dominate the other teams benches.
