Maybe it's time to shut this thread down since he IS an All Star by the people that matter.

He had his share of game losing plays tonight. That's something all-star players usually have a firm grasp of. You could probably single out a 10 point swing on some of his miscues. He did enough to kind of shield him from that sort of scrutiny tonight. We can't forget that we were scoring at will inside. Scoring nights like this are almost given to you when you have the body to go inside, but you have to take them. It would be good for his development if he didn't crap the bed so often and got some wins to show for it.

6 turnovers...and quite a few blown plays. He's raw as hell.

29/12/8/1/1, 5/5 from the line, shot almost 60% from the field & ended as a +2. Sometimes I don't know what people are watching...

I am a Scottie sceptic but games like Indiana will win me, and I’m sure others over. Scottie gets a lot of labels such as mentally soft, passive, 4th quarter for good reason. Handing off to Gary a few weeks back to win the game when you’ve literally just been handed the keys invites skepticism. So does the bad body language and the aftermath of the Spurs game. I don’t care about turnovers and the few times he raised his arms looking for fouls. I was just excited to see him play with a purpose and intent THE ENTIRE GAME. The dap to RJ was big for me because it’s not something I’ve seen from him before and such a simple gesture can’t hurt developing chemistry which this team has severely lacked for a year and a half now. Perhaps I’m being simple but hopefully it’s a kind of Demar picking Kyle off the floor vs. Brooklyn kind of moment.

Hopefully the Spurs really was a learning experience and we see more of what we saw last night. That’s what gives me hope we’ll be okay. It’s only one game though so I remain skeptical.
