It's my fault. Edited. I just thought some of the finishes were fun. Usually has one or two flashy plays a game. In this one it felt like after a bad start... he was just playing with the Spurs and of course there was a really ridiculous 'reverse layup'.

If you're a high-stakes contending team, he should've been near the top of your list, for sure. I get the baggage, but the chances at a championship are so slim anyway, everything is taking a big chance. And the thing about Kyrie that's very underrated is his longevity and the scalability of his game. You could argue that we haven't seen him in the best position to use all of his talents to be a stat-stuffing fringe-MVP type candidate since he left Boston. There's a world where he averages 28/6/6 on 63 TS% with good defense on a team like the Jazz and they make a big run, or finish middle of the conference, etc. But either way, no matter if he's with LeBron, or by himself, or with Harden and KD, or just Harden, or him and Luka, etc., Kyrie is going to get you 25/5/5 with very low turnovers and elite on-ball and off-ball ability. Doesn't take a whole lot for him to get how, can score from everywhere on the court, is a crazy transition threat with his speed, but such a great creator and shooter is also elite in the half court. The Heat, Lakers, Bucks, ...a bunch of teams would be better off with him.

The baggage makes it all a big risk, but if you have a legit MVP-level guy and you throw Kyrie into the mix with a solid defense, you've got a chance to get a W at the highest levels.

There’s a good chance the Mavs make it to the 5th seed. They’re only 1 game back from 5th. They’re playing with great chemistry right now and they have the easiest remaining schedule of any team currently ahead of them.

You can basically pencil in Kyrie as 25+ppg and flirting with 50/40/90 every season. His TS% would be ridiculous if he ever started to bait for fouls. Which is the thing I find most enjoyable about his game, he doesnt foul hunt, he just contorts himself and uses crazy english for amazing finishes.

Dallas for sure is a team to watch out for in the playoffs. They got 2 straight up unguardable guys in Luke and Kyrie. They also dont have to rely on a Maxi/Powell rotation at the 5. Now they have Gafford and Lively taking up minutes at the 5.

That is a team that you dont want to face in the playoffs this year.

I totally agree Lakers should’ve gone for him. But I believe LA has second largest Jewish population behind ny, so I can see Jeanie not wanting to deal with that blowback
