This was not what you posted. Teams take back bad money no matter how you want to spin it. This is a very different proposition.

He's going to be a huge pickup down the stretch run for Anadolu Efes.

I’m not really sure that there is a team that use him baring an unexpected injury.

Of course that could certainly happen.

What's up with Noel? Had a solid 22 season, seemingly a bad 23 but very few games played and hasn't even gotten a shot all year? Seems weird

I've been wondering the same. He's always been a guy I'd hope the Warriors would give a shot.

always like seeing those kinds of guys land a gtd NBA contract. Nothing wrong with him as a 3rd center next year and maybe if they get lucky they can get off Williams--seemed to be at least some interest in him at the deadline.

So…wouldn’t deal him for anything less than a first, and then buy him out for nothing shortly after the deadline? Wild.

Every year the eating crow thread is crowded with people who believed local reporting admitting that maybe it was posturing.

Delon Wright is a great pick up IMO

His +/- stats rival Luka's (sorry GM)

Happy for any undrafted player to get a guaranteed contract.

More so at his age . Probably only 2 payday.

60/40?

Bronny isn't an NBA caliber player, might not even be G League, so he will go undrafted, almost guaranteed, and the Lakers will sign him to a 2-way contract so he gets to play some games with his dad. Then once LeBron retires he won't be extended and he won't be offered another contract. No pro basketball team would sign him so he will become an agent for Klutch before being the assistant GM of the Las Vegas LeBrons.

But a team isn’t spending a pick on just Bronny. They are spending it on Bronny and the chance to get LeBron, or resale to LAL.

We’ve seen overpays before to lock in a better player (the Clippers huge price for Paul George knowing that would get them Kawhi), but there are so many novel questions here, that I don’t know if we have a good frame of reference to make a prediction.

Would LeBron really leave the Lakers under any circumstances?

What’s LeBron’s next contract? Does he pick up Lakers option for a sign-and-trade, or accept a vet min as a free agent?

Would a bad team gamble they could force LeBron to come?

Or how much could a team extort from the Lakers in a trade for the Bronny pick?

Would a contender grab Bronny? Would LeBron be willing to move if a team gave him a better chance at that sixth ring?

Would they just stick him in the G-League, or would LeBron force them to keep him in the pro club? Is that good for Bronny?

Does LeBron’s finger on the scale make life harder for Bronny, where he’s not evaluated for his own achievements?

I mean the reality is that if Bronny wants to be a nepo baby, then Lebron will ensure he gets to LA and no team will get in the way of that. This idea that a team could simply draft him and think they could dictate to Lebron James is hilarious to me. Oh its fun to dream about as a fan and its great content for local bloggers/podcasters to sell their fanbase on a dream.

But Lebron will not be manipulated like that.

And my hope for Bronny is that he tells dad I want to try and make it on merit and he stays in school. I don't know the kid at all though so no idea what he wants.

Are you saying that no other team would grab Bronny before the Lakers could because it would not be worth the damage they’d do to their reputation with future free agents or the NBA in general? Even Cleveland?

I imagine they wouldn't do it because it wouldn't actually land them LeBron and Bronny at this point doesn't seem worth even a 2way.
