Honestly the Bucks are probably the best matchup assuming the Magic can't get to the 4/5 and the Knicks/Sixers can't get to the top 3.

Especially if Isaac could potentially play 25-28 minutes a night by then.

Agreed. We have Suggs and AB for Dame. Plus we hunt the heck out of him during offense. Plus we throw WCJ ,Goga and JI at GA.

Certainly a lot better than getting the Celtics or CLE with the way the refs protect them.
I'd prefer any other matchup to the Bucks, personally. Mainly because I have a lot of respect for Dame, Giannis, and Rivers, and their terrific role players.

You know.. top3 are likely BOS MIL CLE

CLE and BOS we probably at best get only 1 win if there isnt any injuey or whtever.

MIL is who we can have a competitive series with

Rivers is the worst coach of all the Eastern Conference playoff teams IMO and it’s not close.

I also think the Bucks are probably the worst defensive team of the East contenders.

I think Cleveland will fall some. They have 7 more b2bs. Playing a schedule like that is when you start having a high number of strains and sprains.

Who can surpass them?
There is only 29 games left, Bucks suck, Knicks are 4 games behind them, Pacers 6,5 games.

Even if they go 17-12 for rest of a season (they just won 9 of last 10), other team (Knicks) would need to go 22-9 to surpass them.

Yeah... CLE is up there cementing their spot. Although if ever something happens to DON, they could freefall like the knicks or PHI

Worst case for us would be staying in playin and having 76ers fall so down where we play them in second game. Given expetations of Embiiid being back at that point.

Obviously we are all built different, but when i was 17 and had meniscus, no way could i come back in less than 3 nonths.

A guy like embiid who has to think of future contracts? Dont think he will risk it this season.

This would be a huge dub. Let the league know we are coming to take what's ours right out the gate.

Not surprised that the Nest fire Jacque Vaughn however what are the Nets doing? Are they tanking but not tanking? Earlier this year they refused to play their best players in a game and got in trouble, essentially a tank move, so I’m not sure firing the coach now accomplishes anything?

They propably think signing Durant and Irving happens every other offseason. Value of Bridges will only go down
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I guess ultimately he failed to keep the team focused amid the challenges of trading Kyrie and Durant. Are they going to try a push for the play-in? They don't control their future draft picks so don't really have much incentive to tank. They have to rely on trades rather than tanking and losing hurts the trade value of their assets. The "wheel and deal" strategy to get back into contention seems to be the best approach given they don't have their own picks, but losing undermines it.

On the topic of Stephen Curry & Lebron James.

When will they retire?

Longevity in basketball used to be the exception and not the rule. I am also asking myself if watching them get any older is good for their so called legacy? IE the final stat line that lowers their average totals.

Return to Orlando Magic
