He’ll choose Bucks for sure! Can’t wait for the matchup!

Obvious fit for their perimeter defense.

Actually, I should qualify that, because there's not much to chose from that the Celtics can sign.

IF Oladipo clears a full health report and can really play minutes this season, then maybe he'd be a nice addition to have a vet sniper come in and get a bucket. Sort of like the Lonnie Walker type that some of us were hoping for.

Other than that for this season, I don't see the point. Will he even play next year? He's fire when healthy, but it seems like over 5 years since he stayed healthy.

And yet, if Gallo is off the table, Vic may be one of the better options. I'd wait to see if anyone else shakes loose.

The onlyest one that makes any sense is House, if he even makes sense. Guessing we do nothing but convert Queta, and I'm good with that.

Maybe.

Potentially a guy who can bring some value on both ends of the floor (especially on D), some toughness, some playoff experience, add some depth.

But of course, the big question is..is he healthy? Will he stay healthy?

Also, he has been known at times to be kind of a bad locker room presence, a guy who has caused some problems within different teams he's been on, been an unhappy camper and asked to get traded or waived by different teams..so Idk if Brad would take that chance by bringing in a guy like that..

I doubt the Celtics convert Queta because it's better for the Celtics to wait until after this season when Queta is a RFA to sign him.

I think that it's probably better to secure Queta now?
Allow him to be eligible for the Playoffs, and button him down, avoiding others seeing that he's a good guy to sign.

Maybe.

But Idk if Brad is really in a hurry to lock down a guy with a multi-year extension who's the 5th big on the depth chart.

You don't need that many bigs. Most teams only carry 3...or maybe 4, at the most.

Kornet has been over Queta on the depth chart all season. Kornet has been with the Celtics for like 3 seasons now, has a standard contract. Queta is in his 3rd NBA season - all 3 seasons he's just been on a 2-way and never played in 25+ games in any season so far. They'll both be free agents this summer.

If anything, I would think Brad (who's only like ever on Twitter was a Kornet video) would prioritize locking up Kornet, over Queta..

But then Brad also has Tillman who will be a FA this summer. He would probably want to lock him up first, then maybe Kornet after that.

Brad also has Tatum's supermax this summer..White, Jrue and Hauser are all extension eligible. Al will only have 1 more year left ton his contract.

I think Brad is more focused on those guys, locking up the core..locking up the top 10-12 guys. I don't think he's as worried about locking up the guy who's the 5th big on the depth chart, who's 24, in his 3rd NBA season but still on a 2-way.

If Gallo is truly signing with the Bucks or Clippers then this is the correct play.

I did not know that Javonte Green is stuck in the G league.

As Geneva said

Gallo+the Bucks defense feels like a bad mix and playing him legit minutes in 2024 would be such a Doc Rivers move

But I still love Gallo, guess it's smoke now

I love how “Knicks/Lakers like player X on their team…” is such an evergreen headline.

Just totally shameless how a small number of franchises have no issues drooling over other teams players with the media.

Just sign someone who can give better minutes than freaking Brissett.

Yeah, what the heck..Brissett has been playing great. Can't ask for much more from a 10th man..

His role is a SF/PF who brings energy, hustle, solid D..really good rebounding..and he plays that role very well.

And last night he hit a 3 and showed some slick handles and playmaking.

Brad has said whoever we get isn't gonna play much. And it's slim pickings..not much is out there for available players.

It's basically just Danuel House Jr, Ish Smith, Furkan Korkmaz, Rudy Gay, Jaylen Nowell, Javonte Green, Edmond Sumner, Danny Green, Austin Rivers, Terence Davis, TJ Warren, Oladipo, Cory Joseph, Chimezie Metu..or convert Queta..

Slim pickings indeed..

I think those plays will give him a huge boost of confidence going into The Break. That's the kind of stuff that leads to a player turning a corner and settling into their role. Our star players definitely noticed!
