Unless we get to 5th pick position, I see us getting bumped down to 7th position and convey. Sweet potatoes!

It would be better to tank next year but looks like Masai expects play-in next year.

Masai has become play-in pilled. Any time he can smell the playin he's on it like Big Collars, himself. Tampa is the only way we get Scottie Barnes. So with MEM and BKY with 26th and 29th easiest remaining schedules (TOR @ 22nd) we might be able to put a bit of distance between us and the 7/8th spots.

POR has the 6th hardest remaining schedule, but extrapolating the difference between the raps at .488 and the blazers at .519 over the course of a season, that's basically an average of 40-42 vs 43-39. So there is definitely a chance, with some luck, we can slide into the 5th spot.

I still see the 6/7th spot as being our likely end point. Which I guess conveying the pick would suck. But, having an entire season wasted without getting any higher end talent, might lead to another bad year in a much better draft, and hopefully the FO would lean into that next year.

TLDR; We've got some hope.

Indiana lose in play in sending 14 to Raptors
