I know this will be controversial and most likely not agreed upon. But they should completely take away all-star selections and this garbage weekend.

Give teams and players rest.

All-NBA 1st 2nd 3rd should be the main focus instead of All-star selections.

It'll take away this god awful weekend and prioritize winning.

Either that or just have the all-star selections but no damn weekend. That'll be even better.

Yeah I don't see any reason to take away the selections, just stop the sham that is All-Star Weekend and give the players a week off. If the players don't care to put on an entertaining product, why should fans care to watch? It's a waste of everyone's time at this point.

Well, they both have an Indiana connection with Ivey playing there in college and Mathurin playing there for the Pacers. I distinctly saw Math do the "this is my house" celebration aimed at Ivey after a 3 he made.

For what is worth, I don't think that there's any actual beef there. Just two competitive players going after each other.

Ivey has ties to Indiana, played at Purdue in Indiana. A lot of people in Indiana wanted him, not Mathurin.

Also, Ivey was drafted above Mathurin, and Mathurin has that Kobe attitude even if he doesn't have the game to match. He wants to kill everyone all the time. Then you add the other parts. I'm not shocked.
