This trade assumes that the Pelicans, Lakers, and Suns all lose in the first-round or play-in, this may need to be cleaned up in terms of CBA stuff due to salary issues caused by aggregation under the new CBA.
Lakers send: Reaves, Rui, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood Schifino, unprotected 2025 swap (assuming the Pelicans take the 2024 pick), 2028 unprotected swap, 2029 unprotected pick, 2030 unprotected swap, 2031 unprotected pick
Lakers receive: Kevin Durant
Pelicans send: Brandon Ingram
Pelicans receive: Austin Reaves, unprotected 2025 swap with Lakers, unprotected 2028 swap with Lakers, unprotected 2030 swap with Lakers.
Suns send: Kevin Durant
Suns receive: Brandon Ingram, unprotected 2029 pick from Lakers, unprotected 2031 pick from Lakers, Jared Vanderbilt
Wizards send: Cap space
Wizards receive: Rui, JHS
Why for LAL: Just go as far in as you can and hope you can get minimum guys to save the roster
Why for NOP: Rebuild with friendlier salaries as they wait and see what they have with their team
Why for Suns: Get 80% of Kevin Durant while getting the picks they need to turn Grayson Allen or Jusuf Nurkic into depth at the deadline
Why for Wizards: Take on bad salary and get a look at a prospect who isn't great, but is young

That entire Lakers package may not even get Ingram, let alone KD. There just isn't a way the Lakers can get a LeBron/KD/AD trio.
(Also I love how we have trades posted within a minute where Ingram is being traded for Austin Reaves and a couple mystery swaps, and where Ingram is being traded straight up for LaMelo Ball)

Re: Durant to the Lakers (LAL-PHX-NOP-WAS)
Pelicans should look to consolidate their assets, not to get more mediocre swaps and mediocre players.
Suns are in win now mode, this sets them back. Grayson Allen is one of the best role players in the NBA this season, they shouldnt be looking to move him. Yes they need an upgrade at center but not at cost of downgrading their 1a or 1b player.
Wizards already moved Rui once, not sure they would take him 2nd time.
As someone already said, not sure that Lakers package could land Ingram, let alone KD.
Suns payed Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder, 4 1st rounders and a swap. Compare that to proposed package. Yes Durant is year older but still one of the best players in the league.

Re: Durant to the Lakers (LAL-PHX-NOP-WAS)
The Suns can make literally no moves without trading Durant or Booker.
They have two second round picks, Nassir Little, and Jusuf Nurkic on the roster and that is the entire list of tradeable assets. Grayson Allen is a free agent as is Royce O'Neale and Beal has a no trade clause.
If they lose in the first-round, they pretty much have to trade Durant or Booker for depth.

Pelicans are giving up the most valuable piece and receiving the smallest amount of payment.
No additional picks, just swaps, and an average guard who will sit behind McCollum. Pelicans are out.
How the Suns get Ingram and picks doesn’t work for me..

The Suns will easily get better offers should they decode to move Durant.

Re: Durant to the Lakers (LAL-PHX-NOP-WAS)
I dont think this is realistic, but lets break this down
The suns moved 4 1sts, a swap, Bridges, Crowder (2 more 2nds to BKN iirc), and Cam Johnson for KD
If this trade happens, its a year and half later and 2 years of the contract is gone and KD has had more injuries and miles put on, plus older
While we only have 3 1sts to give and not 4, one of the picks was in 2023 and the Suns were 4th in the west.
Birgdes was a 15 ppg his last 3 years in Phoenix. Solid defender, but can have issues vs more physical bigger wings. Not an all star guy in PHO. I think Reaves and Rui could be close to the value here honestly.
Is JHS and 2 swaps worth Cam Johnson?
Is the value that far off? Now remember that this is after 1.5 seasons of KD and hell be 36 at next season. He was 34 when he got to Phoenix
Keep 1 of Vando or Vincent, dont need all that salary going out

The ceiling for the Lakers' best offer (3 firsts, 3 swaps, Reaves, JHS, filler) is Trae or Mitchell (with a year left).
KD on his deal is >> Trae and Mitchell (on an expiring)

The Wizards decline. No room for Hachimura on a team with Avdija, Coulibaly, and Kuzma at forward.
