Best trade the Suns could make with Nurkic, an unprotected 2031 first, and four seconds.
The Suns are over the second apron by a lot next summer and therefore can only trade one player per trade and must take in less or equal money to the one player in the trade. Their total list of assets that can be traded for players making above the minimum are
Devin Booker
Kevin Durant
Jusuf Nurkic (18.125m)
Nassir Little (6.75m)
2031 first round pick (from themselves)
2026 second round pick (from Memphis, Orlando, or Milwaukee)
2028 second round pick (Memphis)
2029 second round pick (Memphis)
2028 second round pick (Boston, protected top 45)
2031 second round pick (their own)
David Roddy and a rookie picked with their 2024 first will also be on the roster, but they make so little that they could only be traded for players making the league minimum. Bradley Beal has a no trade clause.
Due to being over the second apron, the Suns will not be able to trade future firsts in 2032 onward until they exit the second apron and will forfeit their 2032 first if they stay over the second apron the year following next year.
Assuming that the Suns don't trade Booker and Durant, but do lose in the first-round, they may be motivated to do something with these remaining picks, but they would basically have to attach them to Nurkic. Outside of Robert Williams III, I can't think of any realistic trade that makes sense for the Suns.
What trade suggestion for the offseason do you have for Nurkic, the unprotected 2031 first, and 4-5 seconds (depending on if you count the Boston second)? Remember, the combined incoming salaries for the Suns must be less or equal to 18.125m.

Isaiah Stewart via Nurkic and '31 and Corey Kispert via Little and '24

Can't trade the 24 pick until after the draft as they owe their 2025 pick to Brooklyn. And once they pick their guy in 2024, they would have to trade him for a guy making less money and this is just league minimum guys.
(Someone correct me if I'm wrong here)

I think Little for Kispert would work post-draft

I’m pretty sure suns can trade 2024 on draft night.
Nurkic isn’t getting traded unless it’s for a much better center.. I don’t see it.
If anything suns trade Littles salary, probably for a guard

Can trade their draft rights. They can’t aggregate salaries, but trading a players draft rights wouldn’t be aggregating their salaries.
We’ll likely find out on draft night, or shortly after, just how specific the rule is, though.
Also, remember that second apron teams won’t ever completely lose their first. It’s just frozen, until a certain point that it might be moved to the very end of the first round. Not taken away as a result of second apron spending, though.
And, a second apron team can send multiple players away in a trade, I believe. They just can’t aggregate them. If that makes any sense.

Re: Best trade the Suns could make with Nurkic, an unprotected 2031 first, and four seconds.
There really aren't a lot of players under that price point that are worth trading a starting C and a 1st for. The move might be re-signing O'Neale to a big short term extension and waiting till midseason or the 2025 offseason if you're trying to make a splash.
But a few player combos to look out for under $18.13M... not all these are worth a 1st tacked on, some of these teams probably decline, but trying to see what's even out there in terms of multiple rotation players under $18.13M.
Grant Williams + Nick Richards
Gafford + OMax + Hardy
Reaves + JHS or 2 mins
Caruso + Ayo or Carter
Zubac + Bones or Coffey or Russ
Giddey + Kenrich + Jaylin
Phoenix can stretch their dollar and don't have to limit themselves to packages involving a center if they just keep Nurk and use O'Neale or Allen as midseason salary filler next year... if the front office is willing to throw him, say, a Bruce Brown contract of 2/45-50M with a team option/non guarantee on year 2. You're obviously looking at a very steep lux tax bill, but that's the price to pay for having three players making $50M a year apiece.

If the last clarification is true, then the Suns could trade whoever they pick this year along with Nurkic and the 2031 first and the four seconds for players, but players whose combined salary made less than 18.125m
It's still pretty hard to find any deal out there.

I'm pretty sure signing Royce O'Neale to like a 1/20 would cost the Suns probably around 150m in luxury tax penalties.

Re: Best trade the Suns could make with Nurkic, an unprotected 2031 first, and four seconds.
My guess at what happens.
Suns prioritize resigning Allen/Oneal
Suns trade 2024 first for future 1st + multiple seconds.
Possible try and salary dump little for another piece. (I could see them keeping little as well, he has been pretty good)
I don’t think phx needs a big move this offseason, but they likely try to create some future flexibility if one of little/oneal/nurk/allen needs to be moved down the road
Book/KD/Beal/Allen/Nurk/Oneal/Gordon is a nice group to build around already, with plenty of star power and nice FA destination to build around the edges

They can sign literally no FAs other than league minimum guys and will have no appeal to ring chasers if they lose in the first round.

Right. They already have a solid top 7. If they keep Bol/okogie/Eubanks on mins that’s plenty of decent depth.
Don’t underestimate attractiveness of phx FA destinations. Lots of guys want to play with Book/KD. Any team can lose in the playoffs

Might be Chris Paul best chance at a ring signing for the min.

Pretty unlikely compared to the Nuggets and Celtics who do need a backup PG.

I doubt even Presti would make another move for a far out future first, but Giddey on that Suns team orchestrating offense and playing as a wing on defense would be kinda sick. And Nurkic helps with their frontcourt depth

Nurkic is way better than Stewart, and Kispert isn't making up the gap such that a first should be included.
