Learned something new today: coach Mosley can still dunk!

It was Nov. 8, and practice was winding down inside the Arena Ciudad de Mexico, one day before the Magic faced the Atlanta Hawks in the annual NBA Mexico Game.

Moments earlier, point guard Markelle Fultz had issued the challenge to his 45-year-old coach with the entire team huddled at midcourt.

"Come on, Coach, you said we gotta bring it," Fultz told Mosley, who stays in shape with mixed martial arts training and occasionally jumps into drills during practices to ramp up the intensity. "All right, you go to get one in."

Mosley knew exactly what Fultz meant: A demand for the 6-8 third-year coach to throw down a dunk.

Mosley took one dribble just outside the 3-point line and then committed a massive traveling violation, taking 10 steps before leaping off his left foot with the ball in his right hand. Players giddily jogged behind their coach and jumped when he finally took off.

Mosley's vertical proved just enough, as he squeaked the ball over the rim and through the net, much to the delight of his players.

Ah yeah, was a fun moment to see with the team celebrating! There was a clip that went around of it -

If Kevon or Queen win the PG role we've absolutely failed at rebuilding the backcourt.

The point guard comment was mostly looking at Black. But sure what if they legit improve and earn it. Everyone cries when we don’t use our second round picks but you also don’t want to give the long shots a chance to develop and improve and earn playing time. It’s **** broken how we look at it. Of course the goal is to get a really good established talented guard. But I don’t see one staring at me that will be available to us at least this summer. Things could change.

Black has the highest upside and deserves the most TLC because the potential ROI is highest.

I agree with that but I want to stop hearing about the selling of second round picks if we can’t even give our deep roster opportunities if they are earning them. Like we can’t even get our 11th pick playing time.

I'm still mad at Dwight for leaving and glad his career went to ish after he forced his out but he's definitely top 75. Anthony Davis ain't doing ish with that 08 Magic roster.

I wasn't mad at Dwight as it was his decision if the Team didn't take care of him. Same with Shaq of which I was more disappointed than mad. The Magic dug their own graves with those players. I wish people could see our threads back then and witness it all first hand while I mentioned plenty times that the team would spend a decade near the bottom. Plenty of denial. I see teams mortgage their future for less talent. I blame Otis Smith and everyone involved in the Magics ownership and management including whatever complainer fans that helped walk them out of town.

I know both players look fondly back at their time with the Magic and what could have been.

I always kinda wondered what it would've looked like if we had made the Vince Carter trade but still bucked up and paid Turkoglu what he wanted. Nelson/Carter/Turkoglu/Lewis/Dwight is a fun hypothetical
