That's what happens when you are surrounded by people in your talent pool, and not the dregs of the league lol.

Jokes aside, he does seem a little refreshed, hopefully it sticks with him. Just seeing him console RJ after missing that shot seemed like a huge shift in his mentality, maybe this is his turning point.

Scottie said in that interview that he wants to get some wins.

Raptors go 27-0 and make the playoffs!

I don't even know if I want us to win or lose anymore, but I feel like we should be able to beat Brooklyn

That means we'll probably lose

That's why I hate this season. The top-6 protection on the pick makes it so hard to cheer for a win.

Someone made a good point, even if we finish 5th worst, if 2 teams above 6 win the lottery we still give it up.

In some ways this is both a no win and a no lose situation. Scottie wants to win and it would be kind of horrible to drop like 25 in a row down the stretch for development and atmosphere around the team. Losing a 7th pick would suck but there is the benefit of controlling our future draft completely and additional cap flexibility.
There is no guarantee we keep the pick by losing every single game and it would be semi damaging at minimum to go to those lengths. So personally since no option is good might as well hope they win and feel good about themselves.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

That is the risk you take. But there is always the chance we jump up to top 4...so I'm willing to risk giving up a high pick for the chance we end up in the top 4.

That's the spirit.

We need Darko to play the end of the bench more, if we go on a run and come close to winning it.

Masai 'should' want a couple dozen more losses this season. I know I do. I'm looking at it from a longer term perspective.

To make the play in tournament, we probably have to go 18-9 the rest of the way. Very unlikely.

Are we likely to get a top ten pick next summer? Also very unlikely. We are better off going for it now and conveying a later pick next summer. This draft might not have a strong top three, but there are xome nice prospects at the top.

Worst draft in years, get rid of that pick. win, and don't continue to create a toxic culture on the team due to losses pile up - like 99 percent of the teams that tank.

The fact that the incident with Scottie happened right before the break is probably a bad thing. Darko seems to be passive in his communication and let's things "blow over" without addressing the issue. Inevitably Scottie's maturity issues will come back around and be a detriment to the team. Scottie doesn't need inspirational quotes from GSP he needs direction from his coach.
