Any team that would pay Klay Thompson a contract more 2 years at $15 million per is run by fools. He is completely washed up.

This is gonna be like how Dwayne Wade got $40 million from the Bulls after being washed.

This. Orlando didn't pay him through all that recovery time, and pick up his partial guarantee, just to let him go when he's showing signs of a major recovery. When healthy, he's an elite versatile defender who can defend 3-5, rebound, and protect the paint, while stretching the floor and doing some good stuff on offense. He could be a 6th man difference-maker for a Magic contender in the next few years. His contract for next season isn't too terrible, even for his current limited production, and it's a steal if he can stay healthy and play more minutes.

I'm not saying signing Klay Thompson is a move the Magic should consider. That seems like an odd fit for both player and team. But, Jonathan Isaac's contract is non-guaranteed for next season. So, the Magic could cut ties and immediately create cap space. I don't know that I'd say that's a good idea, either. Isaac isn't exactly lighting it up every night, but I can only see cutting him loose for cap space if it's a giant free agent signing. Not a declining Klay. No offense to Klay, he's probably a future HOFer.

Yup. If he can stay healthy and play more minutes, Isaac could be really good, maybe even more productive than Klay next season. Klay is turning into a limited, one dimensional, and inconsistent volume three point shooter, which might be helpful for the team's spacing, but it's a role free agent Buddy Hield could easily provide as well. There will be some cap space even while keeping Isaac, so they should probably keep him and look for a more reasonably priced free agent.
