Thats a good list for regular season. Drop Embiid about 15-20 spots when playoffs come though.

If you only wait and selectively post things like this, your posts and GB productivity are going to decrease exponentially, which has already shown.

He's not wrong for believing that.

Every top 10 player in the league has the right to believe they're the best in the league.

This is one man from CBS (Brad Botkin) rankings. He only has 1400 followers on X. He’s just looking for attention to gain followers and it clearly isn’t even working.

The Ringer (as a collective of writers with millions of followers) has him at 5.. so what’s your point?

Are you going to post every news outlets top NBA player rankings? Or just the ones that fit your delusional narrative?

Celtics have one guy in the top 10, no others in the top 25 yet somehow have the best record in basketball by a pretty good margain. Make it make sense

I remember Embiid acknowledging a few years ago that there were a few holes in his game he needed to fill before he could consider himself the best in the league. Self-awareness is better than overconfidence.

I’d rather my teams star player not draw inspiration from Embiid thanks

Paul Pierce said he was the best player in the world after the 2008 championship when he wasn't even the best player on his own team.

Every single player has those games - especially guys who shoot 3’s at volume. Tell me you’re fav player and I’ll show you plenty of those types of playoff games from them. Heck, Jimmy Butler averaged 14 points a game on 29% in a first round series only 2 seasons ago yet he has this “playoff Jimmy” mantra which is absolute BS.

Even Jokic who is one of the most efficient players we’ve ever seen, went 8-29 in a playoff game last season.

True but he those performance in big moments
He hasnt had a good/legendary playoff run. If anything its been okay/slighy below average

Hasn’t performed in the big moments?

He literally has the most points in a game 7 in NBA history.

He has one of the best elimination road wins in NBA history by beating the defending champs with 46/9/4 on Giannis.

He won Eastern Conference MVP and lead his team to the finals at just 24 years old!

Come on “been ok / slightly average”… what world are you living in? There’s this absolute weird narrative that Tatum has against him and it doesn’t make any sense.

He’s the same age as SGA and has done so much more yet gets so much hate. It’s actually mind boggling.

Yes he has some good games in the playoff, no doubt about that.
When I said ok/slighty above average I meant cummlatively, his playoff runs as whole from start to finish

Also a silly take. He's been the player on a finals run, several ECF runs before the age of 25, is a top 50 playoff scorer, and averages 28 ppg in elimination games.

Gotta love people criticizing Tatum for falling short in the ECF or Finals every season and still crown Luka or Embiid in the same breath, neither of which have done anything at all.

For the record, I believe Jokic is the best player in the league.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
again you are listing highlights
When you look at his playoffs stats year by year,
he hasnt had a All time great playoff run like

Dirk 2011,
Shaq 2000-2002,
LBJ(multiple seasons)
Wade 2006
Joker 2023

just to name a few

My goodness is that seriously the bar Tatum has to meet?

Dirk, Jokic and Shaq weren’t 25 either when they had these all time great runs.

Exactly! Pierece is a perfect example of someone who is basked in the limelight of the great team that was built around him. Prior to KG, Ray and Rondo, he didn't have much success.

Look at how bad the Sixers are without him. They'll be lucky to stay out of the play-in. That's the definition of best player in the league. He raises them to a 60 win team. In the playoffs without injuries, he would do the same.
