It's really simple, Mose wants to win and the players do too. He seems willing to trust the young guys in the strengths but also didn't sign up to draft new guys every year and throw them into the fire in terms of letting them do things they may not be fully comfortable with yet, team play be damned. It'll come along slowly.

Even in 3rd stringer minutes sometimes Black seems reluctant to really take the reigns, so part of it will also be his own confidence there.

He just has that Kobe/Melo vibe.. but mindset more Kobe than Melo which is great. He's too big for a guy like Wade to handle and too quick for Allen.

Yeah he's got great hands.. he's a really good bench role player. I think his issue coming into the league is that because he's European people thought he was a shooter but he's a slasher and a finisher.

I don't disagree with this.

But the stuff you're talking about isn't going to just appear overnight. Black needs to actually try (and fail) and then try some more (and ultimately succeed) on all sorts of on ball things for those things to actually be things he can do next year and beyond.

If he plays like a 3&D guy this year... he's gonna still be a 3&D guy next year unless they're willing to bite the bullet and accept some ugly reps for developmental purposes at some point.
