GT Double Five: Wizards @ Nuggets
First game back from the break, somewhat excited to see what we look like in the final 27 games of the season.
Storylines for these final games:
-Will Deni continue to build on his breakout season?
-Does Poole finally get benched?
-What areas of improvement do we want to see from Bilal?
-Will Davis get any meaningful burn?
-What will rotations start to look like? Do Butler, PBJ, Omuruyi start to get more playing time.
-Does Keefe get these guys to lock down and start building a team identity the can build on next season?

I'm curious to see if they finally start curtailing Poole's minutes.

I think we already know the answer to that.

Re: GT Double Five: Wizards @ Nuggets
I think they keep playing Tyus starter minutes to make sure they have a shot at resigning him. I think they see Kuzma as the team leader and keep playing him star minutes. I think Deni and Bilal split the remaining forward minutes if everyone healthy. I think they try out lineups with and without one of our two bigs.
However, I don't see Johnny Davis getting burn, he isn't even playing well in the G league. I'd like to see Jared Butler get the backup minutes to Tyus, we will see. I think Poole stays the starter and main 2 both to keep his confidence and raw numbers up and for tanking purposes though I agree that starting Kispert and using Shamet or Poole (or Coulibaly) as the backup would be the stronger team.

Ava Wallace saying on Twitter Keefe confirms Poole is moved to the bench in this game. Very interesting.

Welp, that answers item number 2. Beautiful and fresh way to start the home stretch of the season.

The game is just hard to watch with Kuz in the lineup.. seems like Deni is not the "same" with him . like being the Alpha dog on court

Yeah I really wish we traded Kuz at the deadline. Knew Deni would go back to being passive with him back.

The Nuggets + long break happened.
As I said before - I am not worried.. not gonna make a judgment based on one game..
No one here thinks this team would look this horrid if we were vs the pistons right?
Another good learning experience and dynamic building for the long run... (Keefe just took 3 timeouts in 4 minutes right? I like him a lot and a bit sad for him. Its like an artist having to sculpt with the shitiest playdough)..

I wonder if he's afraid of success.
8 days off to think about his recent improvement and his last breakout game hasn't done good for him so far. While I hoped it would make the opposite effect and raise up his confidence even more.
He came extremely passive right from the get go. Didn't even look at the basket at the few first possessions when he touched the ball, and wasn't engaged on the boards until the last few minutes of half time (there is some correlation between him being involved in rebounds and sharp on offense). In one possession he already blew by his defender, was completely open to dunk it with two hands, thought too much and missed the shot instead of dunking it. He clearly overthinking.

Re: GT Double Five: Wizards @ Nuggets
I will say it again. Deni will never evolve with Kuz on court. Kuz is not a player that cares about the team benefits . he will go every game for the 20+ pts and will make every game 15+ shots. Deni on the other hand lose his confident and rhythm if he doesnt touch the ball in the first few minutes of the game
edit: same goes for Bilal. he will never evolve with Kuz shadow on his back.
