Let's put it this way maybe for some context, if Achiuwa wasn't a pending RFA he would never have been included in that trade.

We've seen it before, it won't last, he's only a role player, he's only doing it because of increased minutes. I think that covers all the predictable responses.
You guys realize Precious is the only big other than Jericho Sims right? Randle is out, Robinson is out, Hartenstein is limited and Anunoby has also been out the past couple of games. We know two things about Thibs. He juices up the minutes for his players and he rewards players that play hard. Perfect spot for an energy bench big.
Yes the circumstances are favorable for Precious to do what he's doing. But he still has to go out and do it. It's still impressive, what he's doing, whereas he could be failing.

Maybe that's right, I don't know. But RFA is not the same as UFA. Who knows the workings of the negotiation but probably Rose saw potential in Precious, or Thibs liked him, or something. They may have insisted on him coming with OG, considering they were giving the Raps two starters.

It's really a shame he couldn't have had that kind of success here. But hindsight is 20/20 and the trade made sense at the time and it probably still does.

He always played well here as a starter as well and would fall off as a bench guy.
Problem is he is not good enough to be your starter.

Walt is mad OG was traded.
Alright, fine. And he officially switched allegiances because of it. So the constant posting every time Precious manages to tie his shoes correctly just comes across as trolling by a fan of another team at this point.
I'm just surprised the mods haven't locked this thread and directed the discussion to the former Raptor thread at this point, rather than just allow it to continue as the enduring thread for one person's greivance.
It is also pretty clear that OG was on his way out and wasn't coming back unless we gave a massive overpay. If we didn't trade him he would have found a way to end up on the Knicks. We're lucky we got Quickley and Barrett for him and Aichuwa.

Masai and Riley both gave him opportunities.

He did have that kind of success here for stretches too. This isn't new. He just wasn't ever consistent with it and a lot of it had to do what he decided he could and couldn't do on the court.

I wonder what kind contract he'll command this offseason? Knicks have space up the wazoo so they should be good

Second half of 2021-22, and then pretty much whenever he started is when he was "best".
Last year here as a starter he was 13/10 on a 60TS%. Similar to what he is doing in NYK as a starter (and in 6 less mpg).
Then as a backup he was 6/5 51TS% lol

He's getting the Thibs treatment and taking advantage of it. Problem is, I can't see Achiuwa being a big minute guy on a good team and he tends to struggle in a limited role.

He's a guy that needs to play through a lot of mistakes to get the best out of him but he's also not good enough to where you want to be playing him guaranteed starter minutes every night.

He ran off to the Knicks board, declared himself a Knicks fan, and even tried to talk bad about the Raptors board so he could win some Knicks fans over. Now he's always on this forum to pump up the Knicks players and make it seem as if Masai committed the worst possible sin by trading OG because he's still in his feelings.
Stay on the other side.

RJ and IQ are younger and have higher ceilings than either OG and Achiuwa. I would favor the Raptors in the next 5 years.
