Maybe someone shakes free in the next week, but maybe more likely nobody does and he's the best option that we let slip past because we waited on something that never came to be. I would assume Brad would have some unofficial tampering info of who would be shaking loose that all teams have but we have no knowledge of so if we get him I'll not worry about the next week of rumors. Either way, I'll be a company man and say, "I trust Brad."
Maybe.
But in terms of stats test, I think his stats just don't look great because he was barely getting any playing time in Toronto.
Plus he was injured a bit this season which will affect your stats (but reports are saying he is "now *fully* healthy".Not to mention he was on a bad Raptors team with no direction, and not much in terms of roles being defined on their team..
Still, these are his numbers on catch and shoot 3's
23-24 reg season, 15 games: 36.4%
22-23 reg season, 8 games: 37.5%
21-22 playoffs, 19 games: 40.9%
21-22 reg season, 63 games: 35.7%
20-21 reg season, 28 games: 40.4%
Eye test, from some of the film I've seen this season he looks a a step slower. And possibly washed. But again, that might just be because he was banged up (but is fully healthy now). Or because there wasn't much reason for him to play super hard on that bad Raptors team - he could get some extra motivation to put in more hustle if he joins a contender.
This game was from November.IMO, looks like he at least has *some* gas left in the tank.
:12 hits a 3
:35 nice drive and kick out pass
Such small sample sizes basically since he was on that Warriors team though. Maybe he can win us a playoff game from the bench. Maybe he'd never leave the bench in the playoffs. Could go either way, but I guess not too many other guys who could even give us that first maybe so why not
