lol this thread may be the greatest accomplishment of Poku's career.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

Uh, my guy, they need a lot of things. PG will be addressed in the offseason but they desperately need a serviceable big. Zach Collins has been absolutely abysmal this season especially since the beginning of the year

How will adding a worse big than Collins help?
Optics and marketing. I want the Spurs to recreate the Tim Duncan - David Robinson Twin Towers duo

Let's call them, "Twig Towers"

That still leaves the Austin Spurs 1 twig short of a tower.

This is beyond a spicy or hot take. This is Pepper X or core of Star heat level.

It's too bad he could never stay healthy. He made a lot of progress last year just to get derailed again. I can understand why the Thunder did it, but this could still end up biting them in the ass down the road. It's not like they'd be hurting, though. I can see a lot of teams having interest in him. If I were the Jazz, I'd claim him before he could even clear waivers.

In OP’s defense, he still has 7 years to go before he’s wrong. Let’s give him a chance.

There was annoyance about him not wanting to go down to G, but also I think the team wants to give him a chance to earn a payday this summer. And he needs to go somewhere he can get on the court for that to happen.

Regarding Poku, I just dont really understand how he wasnt able to salvage at least something of value in return for a 22 year old stretch 4 that started half the games he played in throughout his career so far.

No team would’ve given up anything of value. If a trade would’ve happened, it would’ve been Poku for Killian Hayes.

Amount of starts is irrelevant.

I’d bet good money that they even tried to involve him on the Hayward trade

Have OKC considered maybe packaging some of those picks and young players for someone more established that fits well with SGA? What sense does it make to acquire all these assets just to let them expire?

Premature. Poku's still got 7 years to fulfill his destiny. If Goudelock says it's going to happen, well, he's a man of his word so I know I can hang my hat on that promise and when I come back that hat's still gonna be there.

I still believe.

Credit to OP though. He still had faith 2 years after creating the thread

I still have faith, and I can't wait to gloat when Poku leads the Hornets to their first title.

The problem with Presti's plan is that when you have too many assets, you have to eventually start cutting actual good players and assets because theres just no room.

He wont be unemployed long. I hope Dallas takes a gamble.

If he actually had value I think OKC would have traded him before the deadline rather than just cutting him.
