Garbo, TMac.

Picked it quick, probably can do better if I thought it through longer.

Christie and Donyell two great names I've seen mentioned that I forgot. Donyells shooting would be great in this era.

Antonio Davis was an undersized C in his day but would be just the right size and skills now.

(Is it an exaggeration to say...) He was one of the most inefficient scoring bigs ever. His skills don't translate to todays nba as he lacks them. Even defensively he's pretty meh when it comes to having AD trying to figure out how to guard a perimeter player. Worse than meh. No shooting either.

Tmac can play the Point-Forward as needed.
Doug Christie is the Jack of all
I went with Charles Oaktree over Antonio Davis because I needed more respect and old school toughness in the lineup
On a roster like that, I am putting Calderon as my PG. The guy was such an underrated facilitator. Those other guys can more than make up for his defensive deficiencies

I’m not looking for facilitation at the PG position with that lineup. I’m looking for defence and 3-pt shooting with some toughness. So that’s why i decided on Alvin. I’m looking at clutch shooting if need to create

This except with Scottie over Damon.

Barnes
Carter
McGrady
Bosh
Camby

DeRozan, Christie

That team would be way better than the current Celtics assuming it was all their collective primes simultaneously. Even without a true 1.

Funny thing is I had Scottie instead of Damon originally because I didn't catch the thread title saying Ex-Raptors lol. So, I changed it to Damon after.

Apparently I can’t read either. Still not sure I’d go with Damon. Not a bad choice though. I think I’d roll with Tracy at the 1 on offense. I guess OG was technically part of championship team too but he didn’t play a minute in that run. So I would take OG. If OG is off the table that becomes harder.

McGrady
Carter
Bosh
Camby
DeRozan
Christie

Would all be locks. The 7th guy is highly debatable given the op criteria.

Fun exercise! Kinda depressing realizing I've watched all of these guys live lol:

PG: Alvin Williams - Balances the starters with best POA D, big guard, rotated well, smart, could guard most wings too (big)
SG: Vince Carter - Can't win a chip without elite scoring talent; hopefully his head would be on straight
SF: Tracey McGradey - He was almost fully baked when left; solid D to mix with his scoring/passing acumen
PF: Chris Bosh - Easy call at PF; still all time Raps leader in blocks, boards
C: Marcus Camby - Best shot blocker in franchise history (3.7bpg year before Knicks); I'm assuming health isn't an issue

Bench:
Doug Christie: remains criminally underrated; ran point often with good D and smart O, still Raps top 10 in assists and steals
Demar: offensive hub on the 2nd unit; would cook while Doug picks up the tougher back court assignment
Donyell: ahead of his time; effective PF because he could board (8.7rpg, 3rd all time ahead of Jonas) as well as he shot the 3 (41% as a Rap)
Jonas: need at least one big, bruising 5 for matchups and his efficiency around the hoop, FT shooting and rebounding are reliable
Jose: he'd excel on a skilled team; I cried watching him on the Raps after watching the beautiful hoops he played on the Spanish national team. Best organizer of the half court outside of Kyle, hyper efficient (50/40/90 etc.) and not nearly as bad defensively as his rep. Wouldn't play much behind Alvin/Vince/Doug/Demar, emergency mins

I'm sure I'm forgetting others - MoPete, Jalen Rose, Anthony Parker, Yak - would accept arguments for any

Antonio Davis and Damon - I want to play vs. the teams who play them (especially start lol), I don't think they'd even make the league today.

What about this one.

TMac
VC
Hedo Türkoğlu
Bosh
Camby

Christie and Donyell.

Hedo VC TMac and Christie can all bring the ball up. Hedo was a disaster with the Raps but he'd look good with that unit.

edit: I leave DeMar out because of his lack of defence and three point shot. To me it's either DD or VC so that's an easy choice.

Since it's clear who the top 7-8 are in this exercise, I'm going with my fav dino-championship fun team:

PG: Muggsy Bogues
SG: Lou Williams
SF: Jamario Moon
PF: Keon Clark
C: Bismack Biyombo

Bench
PG: Rafer Alston
SG: Greivis Vasquez
SF: Sonny Weems
PF: Reggie Evans
C: Amir Johnson

They are not winning anything, but they'd be fun as heck to watch lol.

Looking at the lists, Alvin Williams over Damon Stoudamire?

Stoudamire
Carter
Mcgrady
Bosh
Camby

If we are talking all-time in their primes it would be:

Billups/Stoudamire
Carter/Robertson
McGrady/Marion
Bosh/Oakley
Olajuwon/O'Neil

This team does well today. Miller great passing, Williams and Davis great three point shooting. JYD rebounding. Muggsy is so low he is untouchable in todays game.

PG - Muggsy Bogues
SG - Hubert Davis
SF - Walt "the Wizard" Williams
PF - JYD
C - Oliver Miller
