He's kind of AD-esque (who's never had any consistent foul trouble issues in his career) in terms of his movement, not reacting to pump fakes or contesting for no reason - but he's also a tier better athlete, lol.

Thread title needs to be changed to one of the following:
"Wembanyama. I'm concerned he might be the GOAT"
"Wembanyama. I'm not concerned"
"Wembanyama. I'm concerned how this will impact LeBron's legacy"

My only major concern was his health but the Spurs are the best team to manage his minutes and keep him healthy.

It's because he doesn't have to jump much or lean into guys in order to block. He can also take angles that almost no other player in the league can after the ball leaves a guy's hand.

Look at those guys in their rookie season they dominated from jump. Wemby is more of a project if surrounded by talent he could be special.

Lebron averaged 48.8% TS as a rookie...

Exactly.

Another way to look at it: He's this good after only playing 24 hours of NBA basketball (1,454 total minutes played).

Yeah, I mean generational is almost an after-the-fact thing. Lebron wasn't a good scorer as a rookie, nor was Durant. They both flashed outstanding potential, though. Shaq was insane as a rookie. He was better than Lebron, but also several years older as well.

Wemby is in the middle of only the like 8th season in league history of 50+ GP, 20+ mpg and 9.5%+ BLK%, AND he's showing great rebounding and passing on top of that, while not getting into wild foul trouble... which is pretty insane. He's very specifically and clearly a generational talent.

I’ve gotten almost exactly what I expected from rookie VW. Defense is almost exactly where I thought it would be, offense is slightly better (tho FG% is slightly worse).

Following the path of those with superior talent that need more experience and strength. I expect 25/12/5 with 4 blocks next year in about 32 mpg. All-Star, All-NBA (2nd or 3rd team, depending on Embiid’s health), perhaps DPOY, Spurs around 35 wins.

You know that defensive advanced stats love him, right?

He genuinely seems to love San Antonio. Spurs are very lucky that he seems to have such a (mature) character in addition to being an Alien on the court.

He didn't drop 30 or get a triple-double last night. When will the disappointment end?

Heh.

That said, he DID drop a 5x4 again, and shot exceptionally well from 3. And he had some epic blocks, including that last one on Chet. He's something else, man.
