I thought we'd maxed out the 2-Ways. How many of them do we have right now? Bitcoin aka Onuralp Bitim, Commander Adama aka Adama Sanogo, Bowser aka Justin Lewis, Henri Drell aka The Fish... I thought 4 two ways was the max.

Re: Bulls Sign Andrew Funk to 2-Way
Based on reviewing his college and G League stats and a cursory look at his highlights, he appears to be a pure shooter who does little, if anything, else. I did see a couple of basic examples of shot creation, but it was very limited from the small sample size that I watched.
It's interesting if you look at his college stats, he was actually a below-average to poor 3-point shooter his first three years at Bucknell, shooting .308 on 4.3 attempts per game over those first three years.
His final two years in college, one at Bucknell and one at Penn State, he suddenly became a high-volume, efficient shooter with a percentage of .389 on 7.4 attempts over those final two years, including .412 on 7.4 attempts his lone year at Penn State.
In the G League this year he's shooting .394 on 9.5 attempts from three.
Surprisingly he's shooting only .760 from the FT line on 0.6 attempts. Very small sample size mind you with only 25 FT attempts on the season, but usually these pure shooter types shoot in the mid-to-high 80s from the FT line, sometimes touching the low 90s. His almost non-existent ability to draw fouls gives more evidence that this guy is a pure one-dimensional shooter.
It seems like this guy really developed his shot during the latter half of his college career and that has single-handedly got him to this point of making the NBA.
I do wonder if he's related to Neil Funk and if that played a part in his signing, as it would follow Jerry's trend of nepotism/loyalty signings. A bit of an underwhelming pickup, but hey, if it turns out that he can shoot at the same level in the NBA then it's a win.
Out of our three two-way players (Funk, Sanogo, and Drell), Drell is the one I'm most intrigued by despite him having the worst stats of the three.

Bitim is no longer 2-way since he got that new contract. Justin Lewis is no longer on a 2-way. So the 2-ways we now have are Funk, Drell, and Sanogo

We waived Lewis months ago and a few days ago we upgraded Bitim's contract to a standard one, so now our three two-way guys are Funk, Sanogo, and Drell. Three is the max.

Can't say the bulls aren't going to bring the funk for the rest of the season.

6' 4" guy who can't do anything but shoot, I assume he's another PF option with the Patrick news.

Just watched some tape on him. He has a beautiful stroke, but hard to get super excited about him with the pedestrian stats and hard to ignore that we need size.

Re: Bulls Sign Andrew Funk to 2-Way
This is why it's so hard to defend AKME. They'e got a team that started the season healthy with too few PFs and too many guards and never considered playing the 2 Bigs together. The roster moves after the stand pat deadline with both PFs injured are to make another guard a full time contract and the guy they pick off the scrap heap over any of their G League guys is, another guard. Billy isn't going to play either of them any more than he is Taylor or Phillips

Re: Bulls Sign Andrew Funk to 2-Way
I believe Adam Amin said on the broadcast last night that he's not related to Neil Funk, so that settles that.
