Re: The Gradey Dick Thread Part 2
I'll be honest, I didn't think he would be there at 13 I thought he was pretty much a lock to go top 10. I was ecstatic when the Magic took Jett Howard at 11 because I figured for sure they would take Gradey given that they needed shooters. When time for our selection came I was praying for one of Dick, Hawkins or Bufkin, and when they selected Gradey I cheered from my couch because he was my favourite player in the draft.
After a few months of him struggling, I had to go back and look at some of his videos again because I didn't understand what I had missed "Was he really this bad?" I mean I've been wrong about prospects before but I felt like he was for sure an NBA player and a good shooter. How the tables have turned, already as a rookie he's making plays that stars make, and it's so clear that he understands and reads the game at a higher level than most of the vets on our team.
We are going to have a really fun end to the season and next year is going to be way better in my opinion. I've got to tip my hat to the FO, they really turned it around. The season started off with the team looking so stale but after the trades they made and the development of Gradey over the course of the season, things are looking very much on the upswing.

Has a shooter of his pedigree ever failed at shooting at the NBA level?

He's already hit his worst case scenario comparison in Kyle Korver and that's not bad at all. Every championship team needs a knock down shooter (and we ain't got none on this team besides gradey) but he's definately more than that already. Super impressed at age 19.

No one else on this team cuts as hard as Gradey does and so active. Everyone else just get caught stationary most of the time.

Re: The Gradey Dick Thread Part 2
The most impressive part of his game last night to me were when he split the D with the pass to Poeltl (or KO, I forget who), and the save on the baseline. What’s crazy is I saw him read that save the whole way. Once he saw the play developing he was like, “hey, the ball might end up in this location so I should be there” and low and behold the ball ended up where he went and he was able to be there for the save. His ability to read the game might be the best on the team, which is saying a lot on a team that features Scottie, Poeltl, and Olynyk.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Re: The Gradey Dick Thread Part 2
With the added muscle and weight, and standing at 6'7" with shoes with 6'9" wingspan, Gradey has great size for positional versatility. He can be a classic SF, big SG or even in the future with even more strength be a small ball PF. I look at someone like Jaime Jaquez play and I notice what great size he has for positional versatility and checking the draft combine stats, his measurements were the same as Gradey's but Jaquez was 20 lbs heavier at that time.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

On the season he's only averaging 6PPG on 58%TS% BUT in 11 games during February he's averaging 11PPG on a 70% TS%.
This team has filled out their 10-man rotation well, only thing missing is more top-heavy talent now.

Stauskas? Shot 44% from 3 both years in college. He wasn't the same caliber of overall prospect though.

But wouldn't those breasts hurt their shooting?

And Stauskas' issue was largely his physical profile which isn't as big of an issue for Dick.
