When the individual box, lineup, and advanced metrics are this close, then leading your team to a better record has to matter at some point. It's absurd the kind of ceiling raising he's doing right now with such a young team (8.21 SRS, Top-5 in both offense and defense, +12.1 net-rating with him on the court, +11.5 on/off). He deserves it.

OKC has 7 players with a positive BPM this season. Denver has a whopping 3. OKC has been pretty stacked this year.

The 2009 Cavs had 6 guys with a positive BPM. Who cares?

You've been pissing on Jokic for years, not sure why.

He is the best player in the game and his team are Champions, and it is all due to him.
SGA is a phenomenal player, Luka is out of this World, and Giannis is Giannis.
If Jokic gets MVP no one will ever be able to say anyone else was robbed.

I know, right? That team was dominant and had great vets. Orlando was just on a mission that year.

Changed a few times this week for me but I am locked in now, all or nothing.

It's Jokic or Luka. If Luka finishes 5/6 seed it's his, if he doesn't then it's Jokic's third MVP.

The 66 win Cavs, one of the best regular season teams. This isn't helping your case at all....

That only works when there isn't someone clearly playing better than you across all metrics.

Luka play worse basketball on a lower seed playing with an all star/all NBA player isn't MVP worthy.

Luka isnt in the convo.

Mavs 8w-3l in Feb with Luka playing all games, still in playin..., would have been a game changer without Strus god mode shot yesterday.

Surge what? Yes, they were 4W-1L, but shooting .36 2s and .28 3s at 11.6 3pa in the past 5 averaging 20.2p is beyond Jordan Poole level, dude has been being carried to wins.

A healthy Kyrie is certainly an all-star and all nba level teammate. He just has been missing a lot of games. In Feb Kyrie puts up 27.7/5.2/4.9a with 55/47/87% split. What's more amazing is how he has been trying to facilitate, defend, hustle, and lead by example. The team chemistry has been great.

an update for @DoctorMJ

Luka's last 10 games: +17, +6, +18, +18, +19, +25, +9, -13, +13, +11
the only negative game was -13 vs Indy in a 20 pt loss

most of these games are since the deadline trades and all with Kyrie

Huh, who would have thunk it? :)

MVP Candidates in February

SGA
30.5 PTS | 5.2 REB | 7.4 AST – 65.5% TS, +10.5, 8-2 Record

Jokic
24.3 PTS | 13.2 REB | 10.7 AST – 63.1% TS, +10.2, 7-3 Record

Luka
33.4 PTS | 9.6 REB | 10.3 AST – 64.8% TS, +10.1, 8-3 Record

Giannis
29.8 PTS | 9.6 REB | 7.2 AST – 68.6% TS, +3.5, 6-5 Record

All looking to finish the season strong except for the Bucks' team struggles that are hopefully behind them now. Luka with a lot of momentum right now but also with quite a bit to make up compared to SGA and Jokic whose teams have had more success and performed comparatively much better with their respective superstar on the court while having at the very least comparable individual production.
