Tyler Kolek has to make it in the NBA. The guy just has a toughness that works out in the NBA. Takes a hit and is bleeding, gets up. Next play hits a three and gets hit again. I think he got hurt last night on a separate play, so he might be out for a while.

Out of all the high level guards, I think he is most likely to end up in the 30s where we are drafting. I'd love to get him into the system.

I mentioned Ryan Kalkbrenner before, but he is such a projectable defensive C. He is a legit 7'1 and has a 7'5" wingspan which is why he blocks a ton of shots without even needing to be a big leaper. He is always on the list for DPOY in the Big East.

Over the past five games he has had 21 blocks including an absurd 8 block game.

He went 10-10 from the field last game and has had several stretches where he has hit multiple threes in a game. He is over 71% from the freethrow line. He has touch and if you watch his pro day film he shows the range.

Kalkbrenner has a floor of Luke Kornet and ceiling as a Brook Lopez. I think he could end up a guy who goes undrafted that we should target.

Definitely an NBA level player. Although it looks like Auburn has no size on defence so it's hard to project his driving game. Really impressed with his ability to make plays of the dribble going left. Vital for a shooter that can shoot on pull ups and step backs.

It seems like he’s one of those no matter what guys. They’ll be solid in the NBA no matter what.

There is something to be said about a**hole types. From Grayson Allen, to Payton Pritchard to Donte DiVincenzo, these annoying guys stick around because they compete hard.

I’m really, really hoping so…

But I’d be pretty surprised if OKC didn’t take him with one of their 2 picks.

Kolek plays with too much intensity and drive to not make it IMO. Usually that combined with high basketball IQ + great shooting means NBA player.

Avila is hilarious, will be rooting for him in the tournament but he has no NBA future

Hard not to root for this guy. He's got a lot of hurdles to clear to make it in the NBA, but knowing how to play the game is definitely not one of them. He's so fun! Pulling for him and hope Indiana State makes the tournament!

You think he enters the draft this year or enters the transfer portal to go to a major?

I think he shouldn’t potentially hurt his stock by going to a bigger conference. I’d declare if I were him, but you never know. He has a little hype train behind him now so in my opinion his stock will never be hotter.

He puts up some pretty ridiculous numbers and is a stretch five type. I think he is probably closest to Derick Lively in this class. Lively also has a good jumper but they keep him in the dunker spot. Likely what Ware will need to do to earn minutes is defend like Lively.
