The defense over helps soooo much and gives up gift 3s it's infuriating....

Its by design, Miami has been killed by three in the playoffs since way back in the Lebron days, Dallas, Spurs, Nuggets all the teams that took it to us hitting 3's like they were going out of business. Our structural defense is to overhelp and give up the three ball. That's why a big team, that can shoot the three ball, is big to out rebound us and move the ball like they do is like our worst matchup ever. Were better at playing the Boston's and Milwaukee's of the world.

Its a rolling theory yet to be proven. Herro is our most productive scorer vs drop coverage which is what they play. However chances that Herro by himself hitting 2 pointers at 46% FG percentage is not going to move them to do anything than give him that shot all game. Nuggets did the same thing to AD from the Lakers, let him get his 25-30 point hitting that middy, it did nothing.
