right. and the progression to contact could be a day-to-day thing. we don't know. it's not fair to assume he's a long way off still.

he was re-evaluated exactly when we were told he would be. he could be doing contact or practicing whenever so long as they think he's fine and responding well to the basketball activity.

Was OG on the bench last night? I saw Randle clearly at the end of bench, and a guy in a hoodie I wasn't sure if it was OG or not

I saw Randle and Mitch(hoodie) but, no OG.

Good news on OG. Contact probably next week. Return maybe against Portland. I'm low key expecting Randle at Portland, too, but that's more of a hope than an assurance.

The reinforcements are on the horizon. Very Tolkien-eque.

Not likely. OG is like Leonard from my understanding when it comes to his body. He'll likely be under minute restrictions or whatever fancy term they're using these days for a couple of games. It's just bone spurs, anyway. An extra body for 20-24 minutes will be a welcomed relief for the bodies that may be wearing down.

My guess is once OG is cleared for contact it won't be more than a couple of days before we see him. His ramp up process shouldn't be too difficult because his injury wasn't to his legs like Mitch for example. Like we saw Randle working out pre-game, I'm sure OG has been doing the same thing. Aerobically, he should be ready as soon as he cleared for contact. Just probably a matter of making sure that contact doesn't hurt his elbow or cause complications in the following day after.

He's a good coach. But he's probably not the coach to take us to the top (see Mark Jackson to Steve Kerr... or whoever was before Phil Jackson when he took over the Lakers/Bulls).

Mitch is out since 12/8/23, OG since 1/27.
11/30/23 we lead the league in defense, points allowed, much of the credit going to Mitch.
12/30/23 without Mitch we slide to 12th.
1/31/24 with OG and still no Mitch we climb back up to 2nd!
2/29/24 we drop down to 4th without OG or Mitch.
3/5/24 we sit at 3rd.
I can only imagine what this team will look like with Mitch and OG back, and add to that Deuce is now getting more minutes.
I have always wanted us to build through defense first and THIS team, is perfect!
We are going to destroy teams defensively once everyone is healthy.
I have more hope in this team winning a championship than any other Knick team I’ve seen, and I’m 62.
