I made the mistake of reading comments on a random Facebook post. Almost no one mentioned Giannis as a top 2 player, some ranked him 5th after Jokic, Luka, Embiid, SGA, and some didn't have him in their top 5 at all... and at least one didn't have him in their top 10.

Also chuckled at someone's reasoning for Giannis being left out: He fired a 30-13 coach for a worse one, so that needs to factor in.

Sure, who cares, but it's crazy how media narratives and recency bias shape peoples' opinions.

When Francis put out an album Giannis was promoting it pretty heavily. If he didn't care about him, they'd never even try to contact him. He can't help that his parents had to leave him behind in Nigeria & they didn't grow up together.
