You're right though. It's still 2024. Victor isn't the roadblock, it's the Celtics.

And the Celtics have exactly the type of C that poses a problem. He can defend our guys and since they're near the rim his rim protection is amplified and then he pulls them away from the rim when he's on offense.

We are 0-4 vs them and have lost by an average of 11ppg, which is ugly.

Grimes will be fine… eventually. He prob gets traded to a team like Miami or OKC in the off season and carves out a nice little role.

According to Dr. Bluntson and other experts here, maybe if Barnes played 30 mpg instead of 35 he wouldn't have gotten injured. Fire Rajakovic!

Okay so you want more poorly defended shots? The rules are entirely jacked up for the offense. Guys are pushing off. Traveling. Moving screen on every screen. The charge is like the ONLY thing these guys have.

No I just rather see an actual basketball play where a defender makes an attempt to play defense and not a dirty play where he just looks to slide under a guy going up to undercut him. Those collisions put players in serious risk of injury and it’s the same play that resulted in Randle dislocating his shoulder. It’s not defense

If you contest it's a foul on the defender. If a player is charging in like a bull, you can't match force with force. That's a foul. Crumple like paper is the only legal recourse.

Good defenders are still capable of making stops and challenging shots. The only guys who really go for those undercut attempts at drawing charges are the crappy poor defenders who can’t make a defensive play on the ball in the first place. The guys who can are actually playing defense on the ball.

The hype train after that one good game was something else. I wonder what they’re gonna pay him.

he shot 4-9 (3-6 from three) against us and 3-19 (1-13 from three) in the other 3 games he played for Detroit. that is some start...

So…Indy’s big splash was to trade 1sts for Pascal. And they are 10-10 since the acquisition.

Since the move (Jan 19th) their offensive rating is ranked #10 and defensive rating is ranked #24.

In the month prior to the deal, their offensive rating was #7 and their defensive rating was #20.

So not only have they been playing .500 ball but on both sides of the court they have gotten worse.

their big problem was defense and they didn't address it. myles tuner is not a defensive stopper.

You just knew it was gonna be a disaster when the night of Pascals debut they brought back Halliburton & Nesmith and lost to a Portland team that was coming in giving up 131PPG over a 8 game stretch.

to be fair, for a team like indy trading for a pascal is probably the best they can do in getting a 2nd star there. nobody really wants to go there. he just doesn't move the needle all that much.

They thought they had a starting caliber PF this past summer when they traded 2 seconds for one and rapidly found out that they did not and had to trade firsts for another one. That’s tough!

Looks like Grimes plays his best when Thibs is on the court.

Leave Grimes alone you haters.

Indy is still a nice young team with a good front office. Siakam may hinder them long term however

Outside of his 4th Q vs the Knicks, Grimes has 7 Points
7 Assists, 5 Rebounds and is 3/22 from the field including 1/15 from three over his remaining 15Q of action.

Nah. Only when he decides to actually show a mean streak. He's been playing soft the majority of his career when Thibs was on the court and that's why he got demoted. And rightfully so.

He still can have a solid career, but why couldn't he have showed a canine attitude on a nightly basis when he was with us? Oh well.

Fans also tried to attach Evan Fournier to Grimes and say he was good too. Scandalous reprehensible behavior!

Or Quentin Ntlikina. Maybe he’ll one day find the coach that has a gentle enough approach to turn him into Raja Bell
