Four great weeks as a Pistons he'll be missed. Who's starting the Shake appreciation thread?

What team honestly signs him?

Like we cut Muscala because he wanted to return to the Thunder, Gallinari because multiple teams were looking to add him, House and Harris to clear room, and Hayes to get him off the roster.

I don’t know if any team adds Milton unless the Hornets think he played for the Thunder previously

So we shake it off. Does he shake it up? Does he shake shake shake? Or will his shots shake, rattle, and roll? Maybe he didn't shake your groove thing, but IMHO his time here was shakin'. Shake me, wake me when this season is over.

Why would a contender sign him?

Unlike Muscala, I'm excited about this one, because it means we won't play him.

I'm still hoping Fournier gets cut by the team, to stop Monty from playing him.

Buyout and cut everyone, except 9 players. Let's see him go 11 deep then.

I believe the deadline has passed now for bought out/waived players to join a new team for the playoffs which means we're likely stuck with Fournier.

no it was march 1st: https://www.nba.com/news/key-dates

knicks are dealing with a bunch of injuries so i guess they just need him to keep the team afloat until they get their guys back? sucks for milton we didn't just waive him a couple days earlier.

The news releases say he was bought out just prior to the deadline so he will be playoff eligible for them.

Pistons as a farm team for the New York Pricks... feels like Allan Houston and Dave DeBusschere all over again.

I am having a hard time understanding this deal. So Milton has an additional year left on his contract where as Monte Morris was an outright expiring. By cutting Milton you are on the hook for an additional 5million or so next season. If you also aren’t going to play Brown wouldn’t it have just made since to keep Morris and let him walk?

Basically it’s almost like you traded Morris for Troy Brown a 2030 2nd and 5 million less in cap space.

We bought him out, so presumably gave him whatever he was owed this season minus the vet min he would've got from the Knicks (presumably his agent already had the Knicks deal in place). The money owed to him next season is not a factor at all and won't count against our salary cap.

Fournier's at least been reliable from three.
