If we win this game then the entire team owes Powell and Leonard dinner.

That pass by Harden was more perfect than Trump's call to Zelensky.

right guys ended up with the ball at the end and we played good defense at the end. still give up too many offensive rebounds

Preventative Loss

Post#53 » by Wammy Giveaway » Sun Mar 3, 2024 11:06 pm

Clippers really needed this win, or else it was three losses, giving Timberwolves a season series victory. Plus, automatic sweep if Clippers drew Wolves in the playoffs.

This is where having a Sixth Man award candidate in Powell really helps. If your superstars can't do it (only Leonard did), let the Sixth Man be the second in command.

Even though Mann is still being misappropriated as their savior because of that career high, he still does the little things to keep Clippers in the game. But maybe he's just not meant to be a starter. I have a suggestion: put Coffey as the starter. They need more than just puns, they need a symbol for taking things slowly and not obsessed with preventing a season series loss because that's what it looked like at the start of the game. Coffey has the potential to be an Old Faithful Derek Fisher-type of player, and Mann might be better suited as their energizer bunny. Clippers need that taste of coffee to calm their nerves and strike smartly.

It just seems windy in the Midwest. That was actually me holding my breath for about 90 minutes.

These are the games that prepare you for the playoffs. Nothing going offensively but the defense steps up and you get timely plays from the teams best player.

A win's a win, but this isn't one I'm walking away from thinking we have a great chance against them in a playoff series. It was an ugly game all around and at times it felt more like they were playing down to our level.

The Clippers bench was fantastic in this game. Powell deserves game ball but they deserve some accolades too.

Great win in an ugly ugly game. Props to Norm and I hope he's not injured off that windmill dunk. Harden was bad in this one and PG not much better even though he was great defensively locking down on Kat. Kawhi's clutch gene was missing as well. Zu was bad, Theis was serviceable. Mann was good and I wish Coffey was more aggressive on offense. Part of me wished Brandon Boston would've developed quicker than Coffey as he has more of a bigger offensive bag than Coffey and isn't hesitant to shoot. Bones was alright and still rusty. Just needed one guy to get hot and this one wouldn't have been as close as it was. Right back at it with Milwaukee tomorrow

Hell no, Minny isn't good during crunch time late in 4th quarters period, especially Kat & Edwards. We're not a 12th place team either so there's no playing down to our level. This is how the playoffs are going to be.. a grind it out affair with little to no fast breaks.
