Was Bobby Simmons at the game for us, or the Clippers?

ESPN talking heads in the morning- "Last night's game was proof Giannis isn't MVP".

My honest thought was they knew something we didn't and they were screwing us over somehow.
Well yeah.. they think they took assets from us for a 2 month rental... they think they and we can't afford him .. he's outplaying his cap hold like Beas
Nah. A 2027 2nd rounder and Payne aren't assets you accept if you think you're giving up an actual difference making piece to a rival contender.
Philly thinks he's washed or will blow up the locker room.

Honestly if KM resumes his starting role -- which I anticipate at some point.. it probably forces us to start Bev for that D next to him similar to what Jrue did.. upside is obvious..downside is less BPPB time

Pat Bev, huge impact in a decisive 10-0 run late in the fourth.
-93-96, bad pass from Kawhi to Norm at his feet, but PatBev defense also helps to force a wild shot from the logo. On other end, PatBev makes the corner three to tie.
-96-96, not great pass again from PG to Harden at top of key, PatBev gets his hand in there, forces a loose ball, ball gets up to Dame for a layup the other way for the lead.
-98-96, Kawhi drives down lane against Brook, PatBev gives help by beating both those guys to the block and alters Kawhi’s shot which gets blocked by Brook. Other end, AJ Green with the logo three to go up 5.
Followed by another Clippers miss, a Portis turnaround jumper, then a Clipper timeout at 3:00 and Bucks up 103-96. Pat Bev making a huge impact in that 10-0 run.

Most people don't know, but Pat Bev is short for Patrick Beverages.

It's hilarious that he continues to act like coaching hasn't made a difference when you have players coming out with quotes that directly show just how the coaching is helping the team now.

Pat Bev only have 4 steals this game? It seems to me that he had 10 steals lol, those clean strips are a thing of beauty.

There's some contractual reason that teams have been placing higher value on 2nd round picks lately.. I can't remember what it is though but they have been great to add into trades. That 2nd is going to help them unload Tobes lol idk..

We’re ready. Lay it on us.
I've done my 'Doctors don't want you to know this one trick' intro, haven't I
Reality is that it's possible to hang around for some time. An acute Achilles is very debilitating in the initial stages, such as Giannis is in now. I could see him missing back to backs. He will probably play through discomfort for the next few weeks - this will improve as he warms up, but he will be visibly affected and will be rubbish post game. They will probably 'fix' it over the offseason. It's probably a consequence of his heavy recent workload, potentially even slightly related to his chronic knee tendinopathy.
Some sub groups of achilles issues may still be injected into the paratenon (not the tendon itself) but it's unlikely to be this variety this early (nothing's impossible though).
He will be on isometric exercises (thanks Skinner) and every possible conservative treatment known to sport. crkone mentioned heel raises, they will absolutely be doing this Then onto some heavy/slow loading. Plyometric loads (jumping/running - i.e. entire sport of basketball) are known aggravators so generally left until pain is under control.
He will be fine, but maybe look pretty terrible for even a few weeks. I have loads of faith in the medical team and magical Giannis healing though.

If it's anything like the achilles tendonitis i had when playing, it just came down to pain management. I couldn't do any real damage to it beyond imflaming it more. It was just about managing it until it improved.
I used to believe that until I saw KD rupture his Achilles a few years ago in the finals. I used to think the pain shielded the injury. Unfortunately pathological tendons definitely become structurally compromised.

He was obviously joking, knowing Gallo has a 2" vert.
Khris laughing at Gallo raising the roof was the best part.

Our 2nd rounder and Cam..must be the best offer they got.... I'm sure they they took the best offer and since they aren't in the running without JE they could care less if we beat Boston this year or they beat us and probably figure we lose to the West anyways.. look how we were playing lol... yeah maybe they thought we'd implode too for extra sauce but I'm sure selfishness was the main reason. If they like Payne boom they resign him and got younger at the position.

So is this is an injury that will linger throughout the rest of the season, or can he both play through it and be 100% for the playoffs?

If it was you or I, it would hang around for a couple of months if we keep playing sport, and it would marginally reduce our performance one the painful initial phase subsides. As for Giannis, the first part is probably true but quite possibly not the second.

Best thing he can do for these abrasions is rest it for several days IN A ROW .. NO exercise, stretching or anything on it so whatever heals doesn't retear right away. The benefit to this stretch of the schedule is the games are spread out. If he just misses the next 4 games (trip) that gives him until NEXT Sunday to rest which would be 15 days straight rest from the last game he played. Jragon logic is this is planned strategic rest planned to miss the next 4 games and he will be like a new man for the playoffs and it doesn't necessarily have to be a big burden the rest of the year. Plus he gets a mental break since he had all star requirements. Good part is after that he won't likely have to miss back to backs tho.. that's not how that tendon works.. it needs a long break to really heal up solidly-- otherwise it's heal/reinjure/heal/reinjure because every basketball movement puts tons of pressure there. Doctor Jragon says keep his A$$ home and don't exercise or stretch until needed.
