Because we desperately need a guard that can dribble the ball past half court.. See the Kings game on feb 28 4th quarter.. we didnt have a ball handler worth a damn and kept setting ourselves up in traps.. patty mills does the job well enough

Considering how injury prone Herro is, Rozier not exactly looking right, and Delon being more of a defensive specialist, Mills makes sense here. Also a former Champion which seems to be a requirement for any vet min or buyouts here.

He is a veteran that does not have to pla but will be ready when and if his number is called.

Another vet voice in the locker room. Guard insurance. Maybe he can serve as a player-coach for the guard rotation that lacks a vet that’s done things at the championship level.

This is dope. First Aussie to play for my favourite team. Patty can still shoot the rock and be a fiesty Chivato. Vet and championship experience. Good depth and a great locker room guy.
